some decent plate lunches and some typical cajun fare on the menu. plate lunches are better than the regular menu. fried pork chop plate lunch had a huge chop! was all pretty good. i had cabbage rolls which were ok. the real shock is that the inside of this place doesn't match the outside. outside it looks like a sit down restaurant with wait staff. inside the walls also convey this with their portraits of wine bottles and art. but when you walk in you're confronted with a large ordering window, open kitchen in the back, drive through window plainly visible, and large plastic marquis with the menu and prices. it's concession stand meets upscale bistro. and no, they don't serve wine. ;). owner is nice, and cooks aregreatpeople. desserts we were told were homemade, but their definition of homemade must certainly be "butter and eggs added to the box mix and baked" because the desserts were obviously out of a box.
