not badfoodand good pricing. we got some free spring rolls for lunch which is always nice. foodportions were huge! i had the beef with rice and finished it in 5 mins! probably one of the better inner city viet places imo. i'll try the pho next time!

this is my favorite pho in calgary. service is always fast and friendly. foodis always great, even when taking soup to go...which isn't the case in many other places.

this is a great restaurant - so clean, the staff are really nice and accommodating and thefoodis really good. there are only 2 vietnamese places i go to in calgary - one is van son and the other is lemongrass (the one near 17th, not the one by chinook)

this is probably my favourite vietnamese restaurant in town. thefoodis fresh and delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful, and service is always quick! truthfully i almost always order the same couple of things, but myself and my friend/family have always been happy with our meals and the service!

so sad this place doesn’t do delivery anymore :( i first found this place on skipthedishes as it was very highly rated. probably the best bun bo hue i’ve ever had! service is always amazing andfoodis consistently good.

excellent gluten free options. definitely the best vietnamesefoodexperience we’ve had in calgary. the portions are pretty decent sized as well.

best pho in the city for sure. their gluten=free is actually gluten-free as well which is awesome. it is one of our favourite restuarants in the city by far. great service, greatfoodand nice atmospher.

love this place. they are super friendly and totally willing to make adjustments and modifications - i always modify my meals and they never fuss about it. i love that they have gluten free options - especially gluten free spring rolls! thefoodis delicious and unlike lots of viet places you can actually identify the meat and you can tell they use quality products. definitely my go to viet.

the good:
very friendly staff
large menu with endless options
nice tasting broth with lots of meat in it
tasty salad rolls

they've definitely renovated this place since the last time i was there. i found myfoodall tasty and liked the options :) will go back.

thefoodwas okay. the staffs are not friendly. we walked in and we're waiting to be seated for 5 mins. quite busy sunday but seems like not enough servers. i will prefer not come back.

this restaurant has become a regular lunch time spot for us. we stumbled across van son while we were looking for a quick bite to eat at lunch time. we’ve come here a few times now and we can honestly say that thefoodhas been consistently great every time. if you’re looking for a heavy meal that’s going to probably send you to sleep for the afternoon, this place should be your go to restaurant. portions at vietnamese restaurants are always notoriously massive, and van son never disappoints. i don’t think i’ve ever left without a giant bag of leftovers.

this is hands down the best vietnamese cuisine, each one of the staff are wonderful and lovely.  thefoodis delicious not to mention their bubble tea is delicious.  i love the new renos and i'm happy that thefoodstayed the same.  would definitely eat here again!

this is a weekly spot for us and has been for almost a year now. the staff are wonderful and thefoodis fast and tasty! i haven't tried their soup yet surprisingly but their vermicelli bowls are top notch. also! make sure you get the deep fried bananas and ice cream for dessert, it s the perfect way to finish every meal!

83% rating ?. wow, we happened to swing by for the first time in about 2 years because i was craving lemongrass chicken , grilled shrimp - omg no flavour and greasy spring rolls, my spouse had satay chicken and spring rolls...wow... i think too many people are confused about good vietnamesefoodin calgary. won't be back, even though the place looks great!
