urban bar and brasserie

we had a very impressive dinner aturbanbar recently with friends, the ability to book via opentable is a very big plus, all restaurants should work with this company. we sat indoors as it was chilly, but there is an outdoor seating area that must be beautiful over summer time. our waitress was very attentive and helpful, the food was very good, its a seasonal menu that changes all the time.

i hate to say this but we were disappointed. the food is still wonderful. the problem was the portion size. we had, for our main boar and apple sausages with a buttery mash and an onion gravy. quality was first class, quantity was non existent. we looked at one another when the plates were brought out. not impressed. come on urban. please have a think about portions. it's the 1st time i've lefturbanand could genuinely have went for a burger somewhere as i was really hungry.

i've reviewed this place before but, after tonights meal have to do so again. brilliant. it was one of the nicest meals i have ever had, even the coffee was really nice. the food is beautiful, the wine lovely (and i don't drink wine) and the service attentive without being intrusive. beautiful surroundings with food to match. well done urban
