a small, casual bar tucked upstairs of campagnolo. it’s basic, but it does the basics very well. a well stocked bar of spirits and beers, and a small selection of foods. we got the olives, and they actually give you a good portion, and the fries are golden and perfect. we alsoorderedthe polenta from the downstairs menu, which was delicious and very rich. we had to ask for the menu for downstairs though, i’m not sure that hey like to advertise that you can order from it.

terrible brunch. i went with some friends for the brunch. it was very disappointing, and the food was weird. one friendorderedthe bacon pancakes, the bacon was undercooked. another friendordereda dish i don't recall the name of, but turned out to be essentially some eggs in marinara sauce. iorderedthe chicken and biscuits. the biscuits were soggy and covered with strange cheese. the chicken was very cheap low quality dark meat which is not what i'd expect for "chicken and biscuits". everything tasted like pickles for some reason. it was probably the weirdest brunch i've ever had and i lost my appetite. my friendsorderedmimosas and there seemed to be a great deal of confusion amongst the staff exactly how to squeeze the oranges for the juice. there were no lights to the bathroom. overall, it was a bad experience and i would not go back. i have heard good things about the downstairs and the upstairs might be ok for bar type food, but the brunch was quite terrible.

cozy and tucked away with a great atmosphere. burgers were almost sold out and the chicken took a long time to arrive, but everything was tasty. alsoorderedsomething from the downstairs menu and it was delicious but way too much for the serving size. would definitely go again but make sure they have burgers ahead of time, or just have drinks and a snack.

disappointing brunch. i will say this first... they didn't charge us for one of our plates to try and make it right - nice gesture and i was thankful.

to keep it brief - the food was weird. weorderedthe sausage hash which was pretty good and the bacon pancakes. the pancakes were hugely disappointing. bacon was undercooked (i like my bacon a bit soft as it is) and the plate was a mess... looked like a 12 year old made it. we asked for separate bacon and it came out undercooked again. needs help - love the downstairs incidentally and have attended the spot prawn boil they host.

we are brunch enthusiasts and there is zero chance of us going back.

leave a reply 1020 main st, vancouver, bc brunch saturdays, sundays & holidays 10:30am-2:00pm food rating: 9/10 having been to campagnolo for dinner, and loving it, i knew i would like  campagnolo upstairs for brunch. they offer quite a number of things on their menu- entrees as well as pastries and side dishes.  iorderedthe fried chicken with biscuits and can honestly say it was one of the best fried chickens i’ve ever had. i love a crunchy, crispy skin and moist meat. i also loved that it came topped with a fried egg!  i had brunch with the yvrfoodclub (a food club consisting of myself and some fellow vancouver instagram foodie accounts) and had a great time (as always) laughing, trying each other’s food, and of course, shamelessly taking pictures from every possible angle! free range fried chicken and biscuits      it came with hot sauce, hash browns, maple syrup, fried egg and house pickles (which i think i didn’t actually get). the spread end of the table view baked eggs, apple fritters and a giant sticky cinnamon bun. brunch with friends is the
