great food at any price. i've been to upland a handful of times, and the food is always better than what i find at more expensive restaurants in bloomington. the beer is pretty good, too.

i love upland! it isn't often that the food at a brewery is as good as it's beer. i sat on the patio listening to live jazz tonight, noshing on a bison burger and edamame hummus. amazing fries too!

a victim of its own success. upland is great. absolutely great. the food, the beer, the atmosphere...all top-notch.

unfortunately that also means they are basically constantly slammed. a 1-2 hour wait time is not unusual, so the best time to go during the school year is pretty much when they open at 11am. alternatively, go in the summer when fewer people are in town and the outdoor seating provides more seating capacity.

amazing how they handle the crowds here. we always get great service no matter how busy! love the new menu and the smoked porter turkey tortas is delicious! love their burgers but may pick the turkey tortas even though their blue flame burger is really good.

ever so slightly off of campus, upland was usually a decent way to escape at least some of the undergraduate students crawling through downtown. having been there a lot, i can say with some certainty that my favorite part about this place is the food. pub grub is taken up a notch by excellent ingredients and an astounding amount of vegetarian and vegan options. boca burgers, veggie chili and tofu options are available for most everything on the menu. this pizzas are good, the burgers are good, and the entrees are very, very good. the location itself is pretty hip. the restaurant shares its premises with the production facility, which c

frankenstein this past thursday we decided to head south,cruise through the old alma mater,and eat at upland.the place is good-sized and appeared to be well staffed but service seemed a wee bit rough.i don’t know but if i had to guess i’d say not all the servers were “team players”.as for the food it was nicely done.i had pastrami;well smoked, properly seasoned, second in my estimation to shapiro’s only.the “horsey” sauce was so-so but the dill pickled beet slices were a real nice addition to the smoky beef.my pal chose fish & chips;now he is a freak for cod,what you might call a fried fish freak.he gave it a second place-first going to claddagh’s in indy.our third companion ate pulled pork  and totally enjoyed it;just enough sauce to add a savory sweet element to the smoky pig.the only negative thing i can say about the meal was my potato salad.it was really bland;all soft texture and sour cream.on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being stale pop corn we give 3.5 now the beer.guess what it ta

it's sad when the best part of your steak meal was the asparagus. and i don't even like asparagus.

the goulash is soooo good. i need more spaetzle in my life.

ate there last night. busy fri night as usual but good food and brew. excellent buffalo burger, great homemade soup. definitely good place to eat when in bloomington.
