i'm in love. if i wanted to open a burger joint, i'd have to pass. i'd concede the game to these guys. i don't know of another place in the area that sellsburgersmade with grass-fed beef. there are other places to get buffalo burgers, but venison? elk? ostrich? alligator? ok they were out of alligator when i went, but the elk burger was amazing. they make everything from scratch, and when i say everything i mean down to the pickles and ketchup.

on top of all that, the place is fun. the employees (except maybe the obviously-new guy who took our order) all seemed to be having a great time, and so did the customers. and there were a lot of those - we had a bit of a hard time finding a place to sit.

one of the things made from scratch is their root beer, which comes in two flavors. i passed on the butter pecan and went for the classic, which was delightful. i'm a bit of a root beer connoisseur, so i've been around the block, and this wouldn't make my top 10 or anything, but it was quite nice. possibly top 20, and it might rank higher if they'd serve it in a cold mug rather than out of the soda fountain machine, so i could more perfectly experience the flavor.

i went for two burgers: the buffalo and the elk. i got the elk plain, because elk meat is so delicately delicious that i couldn't bear to overpower it with bold toppings. i was not disappointed. the buffalo i got because i'd momentarily forgotten about the venison option, which i would otherwise have gone for. there, i went for the bleu cheese jalapeno setup, since i know buffalo goes nicely with bleu cheese. like almost everyone everywhere, they put entirely too many jalapenos on the burger, but that was easy to correct, and i ended up with a second very nice burger.

all in all, it's my new favorite burger joint, eeking out angry dog, who still makes the best-tasting beefburgersi've had so far.

solid burger. tough to argue with theburgershere. excellent. i go for the mushroom version as it is delicious. also the milkshakes are think and made to order. this place deserves to be ranked up with balls as one of the best burger places in town.

really goodburgersand root beer. they used to have amazing homemade sweet potato chips, but for some unknown reason they have removed them from the menu. the housemade chips were pretty good but not as good as the sweet potato chips. the horseradish dijon sauce is really good on everything. today the rootbeer of the day was coffee brownie which was amazing. my husband had the fat elvis shake which was rich and tasty.

heard great things about this place and was eager to try it. went on a sunday for lunch. the place was packed. you order at the counter and i was a little disappointed that you couldn't get a traditional burger with plain old onion on it. only pickled onions were available and at a pricey extra cost. twoburgerswith fries and 1 off brand soft soft drink and a milkshake came to about $35. my son liked the milkshake but neither of us were impressed with the burgers. they weren't bad just not good enough to merit the price

pricey, but worth the experience. honestly, if it wasn't for the price i would probably eat here 2-3 times a week. a specialty burger, side and a drink will run you about 12$, which is considerably more expensive than other burger places.

but the selection is incredible. aside from the different ways theburgerscan be prepared, you get the choice of different types of exotic meats. just when i thought i'd had them all, the last time i went they had kangaroo. personally my favorite so far has been the elk, but there's really no going wrong. the fries are ok, they remind me alot of arby's curly fries. the real show as far as sides are concerned are the fried pickles and sweet potato chips. really good stuff.

i would definitely try the root beer and the flavor infused root beer. some crazy combinations but most are very good. i think that's the point of the whole experience: taking things that you know and enjoy and putting a twist on them to make it new and exciting. so if you wanna step outside of the angus burger and soft drink of other burger houses, make the trip to twisted root.

my husband and i went to this restaurant looking for a good meal in a relaxed atmosphere. relaxed, we got. there are signs all overthe place telling patrons to make up their mind before they get to the register so the line isn't held up. regardless of that, we waited in line for several minutes only to order our food with a completely unappetizing view of a guy behind the counter in a tight t-shirt and even tighter sweatpants. the food was sub-par; our home-cooked frozen veggieburgersare better and less expensive. the table that we sat at was the inly one open and dirty. i barely finished my meal and left feeling violated, as if someone had stolen 20 dollars from me. i do not recommend this restaurant

one of the bestburgersin dallas!. i really don't see how anybody can write a negative thing about this place; it's that good! i have had a lot ofburgersin my day and i can honestly say this tops the leaderboard. this place gets stellar marks from food critics and was featured on diners, drive-ins, and dives. the times i have been i got the western burger, the blue cheese jalepeno burger, and the buffula vinnison burger all equally delicious. the 2 owners of this place are culinary school grads and certainly know how to combine unique flavors. great shakes, sweet potato chips, and homemade ketchup, homemade rootbeer, homemade sweet teas. the fried appetizer platter is also worth mentioning.

wheres the pink???. i have been here twice, and liked both visits. the only beef, no pun intended, is that my burger was over cooked both times. i ask for myburgersto be medium, but i get them well. other than that the seasonings in the meat is good. the fries are good. i have yet to try the shakes, but i hear they are great. i will be back, but will not be happy with an over cooked burger.

needs work. i have eaten at this place twice. bothburgerswere good, but after telling them to cook my burger medium i still get them well. i want to see some pink!!! other than that the meat has some great flavor, and they have both been juicy burgers. i haven't given up on them yet.

just order "the burger". with cheese, or without the cheese, that is the question. (well, let your mood guide you...) theres lots of stuff on the menu to distract you - but you gotta keep it simple. i just go for the burgers. the place has a lot of hype, lots of plano wannabes, and the ubercool, but if you just get in line, and order a regular ol' burger, you'll be pleased. sides? they're all pretty pedestrian, so do whatever moves ya. one of the bestburgersin town!

just had the worstburgersfrom here it was tasteless. the sweet potato chips are now nasty. the place is dirty it run by kids that have no clue on the to run the place. the watermelon sweet tea now taste rotten. you tell them there is something wrong they just walk off and don't give a care. there was a guy with a yellow mohawk fill up bottle of ketchup in front where you place you order and not in the back of the place. he took one of the bottles and rub it on his face then walked over and sit down on my table i said ewwww can i have one that you have not rubbed all over your face. he walk off got a different one and slammed it down on the table. i ordered mini corn dog for my little one and now they come with 3 corn dogs give me a break and 5 fries asked where is the rest of the food and was told that was it. they used to give kids a lot of food not any more. this place has gone down hill fast.
