we like it. the food is good enough for us to come back. when they sometimes mess something up in our orders, they readily correct it. i usually order leaner options, and their turkey burger is completely acceptable. boozy shakes help to lift the mood when i don't count the calories.

a basic burger, fries, and a drink will put you in the $15 range. that is okay for some of their more unique items, but it's pretty expensive for a simple burger. but, what really turned me off to this place was the attitude of the counter staff, which was reinforced by signs around the register that are flippant about their customers.

peppercorn ranch burger!!! this place is the best burger joint around dallas and i have eaten burgers everywhere. a little pricy but the ingredients and delicious portions are worth it!

i got a burger with cheese and bacon, a vanilla milkshake, and an iced tea. the burger was excellent, great flavor, cooked a perfect medium well. the shake was very good, cold and just the right consistency. the iced tea was ok.

a lot has been said.... but i do like this place. food is solidly good, wiht a great variety of burgers, and great sides too. i like the self-serve drink refills, great variety of bottled beer, outdoor dining could be a bit more comfortable with chairs instead of benches, but at least they have a patio. it is loud inside, so not a place for intimate dining. plenty of flat screens inside if your wanting to catch a game. parking can be a bit of a challenge with all the new shops and restaurants opening in this mixed-use development. be advised there are a couple of garages available for restaurant patrons as well as residents, but you will have to walk a block- but a fair trade during the blistering texas summer when you can park out of the sun!

big prices for mediocre food. my cheeseburger was no better than what i can get at chili's and cost a lot more. the fries are average in every way and the onion strings tasted of breading, not onions and were too salty to eat. if it's atmosphere you want, try twisted root. if its a good burger, try five guys.

fantastic. twisted root is my favorite burger joint. i usually go to the one in roanoke tx, but business had me in richardson this day. i was pleasantly surprised! the atmosphere is great, and the burgers live up to the hype! if i lived over there, i would go all the time. if you live near there, go try it. i promise you will love it!

when i visited my college town and friends on my recent trip through texas, i wanted to stop at a place i'd heard about called twisted root burger co. i attended to the university of texas at dallas, but it was actually located in richardson (one of the dfw metroplex suburban city situations). richardson has a few cool restaurants ( 2 vegetarian / vegan-friendly chinese places, a delicious and inexpensive italian restaurant , an ethiopian spot , a nifty little chinatown and some great and inexpensive indian food), but it hasn't exactly been a place of trendiness, fusion, or any sort of cutting edge. so when i saw that trbc opened a spot in richardson, i wanted to go. the location here is actually in a relatively new and trendy little center, along with an asian fusion/sushi restaurant with a decent menu and somewhat inflated prices , a cajun place that got there really early (and at which i once ate - an indulgence day dine, almost every menu item including the word fried and/or cream)

completely overhyped. i have given many chances after many coworkers have vehemently recommended this place but it just doesn't taste good. the meat has a sour taste and it lacks proper seasoning. i don't care if the owners are chefs, i don't care if guy fieri said it was "off the hook" i just care if it tastes good and it simply does not.

more expensive than some but worth it. the selection of sauces (a.k.a. ketchups) is nice. never tried their rather odd root beer of the day (watermelon on one visit, orange on another) but expect they are interesting, at least. highly recommend and looking forward to the opening in fairview.
