family friendly. i don't know a lot about sushi. but i do know what i had was delicious! i had some kind of shrimp rangoon and a rice bowl. both were yummy. next time i'll skip the rice and focus on exploring the sushi menu. we took our one year old who acted a fool the whole time, but with a 2 side super large dining area we were able to sit further away from the crowd, and with self seating no one got "stuck" sitting next to us if they didn't want to. i plan on picking up some take out tonight!

wonderful food, customer service could use some help. i was so excited to hear medina had another sushi restaurant coming because i really am not a fan of the one other place i know that is nearby. my friends and i always decide to get carry out because the atmosphere isn't something we find worth staying for when we can head to one of our homes and open a bottle of wine. nothing really big to complain about there, though. i have ordered out there a total of 5 or 6 times now, usually enough sushi to feed 3 people. i sushi is always full of fish and not overwhelmed with rice, and it always tastes fresh. as for the recipe and preparation, nothing to complain about there, either.

here is where my complaint comes. the first time i got carryout there were no sauces in the bag (sushi sauce, spicy mayo, etc..) that would normally come on the rolls if i were dining in. so the second time i checked the bag and they weren't in there so i asked before i left. i have had to ask for the sauces more often than i haven't. i have ordered rolls twice that specifically come with fish roe and haven't gotten the fish roe either time. i have now learned that i not only need to look inside for the sauces, but now i need to specifically check for fish roe as well.

last time i came in with a friend to order carryout and they were out of rice. the man at the counter said they had gotten a huge rush due to the new specials and it would be about 30 minutes before sushi rice would be done. not a big deal at all for us at the time, but after we ordered and planned to come back for it, my friend pointed out a simple "sorry" would have been nice in addition to the explanation. when we came back 40 minutes later for the sushi, the girl at the counter couldn't find an order for us and the woman making the sushi just shrugged her shoulders and kind of rolled her eyes. the young lady found our ticket still on the printer, nobody had noticed it once the rice was done, i guess!? so we took a seat to wait for the sushi for another 15 minutes. the woman who had previously seemed annoyed that we came in for the sushi we ordered 30 minutes earlier came over to us and dropped off our sushi without a word. no apology, no smile, no "thanks for waiting, have a good day". nothing. my friend said she would have expected something for free, but all i would have liked was good customer service. things happen and if business is higher than expected and i have to wait 30 minutes for sushi, no big deal. just apologize for the inconvenience and i'll patiently wait.

so overall, the employees need to be more careful making sure carryout orders get everything they should and they should make an effort to be a bit friendlier and hospitable. otherwise, the product is wonderful.

the owner ruined my wife’s birthday. i called ahead, the day before, and let them know i would be in with a group to celebrate my wife’s birthday. i was told to call just before we got there, when i did, i was told we were not welcome. i showed up and spoke with the owner who refused to serve or accommodate us. the restaurant was largely vacant. i will never return, and suggest the same for you, you may be refused service.

we recently ate at twisted as a family member has been wanting to check it out. the staff was great but the food terrible. i ordered what was supposed to be mediterranean chicken and could barely eat it as the chicken tasted awful and had no mediterranean toppings.  the red skin potatoes were cut like hash-browns and had no taste. i actually was sick the next day after eating there. if you are going to spend your hard earned money i would go elsewhere.

usually you can't trust a place that does very different foods, but we decided to come here after a few recommendations.

food:
burger - can't remember the name but it was alright either way. the meat was decent quality and the ingredients added decent flavor.
spicy tuna - not the best rice but the fish was ok
crab cakes - rather sure it was almost completely a patty of imitation crab...

service: they messed up the order the food came out and it took a bit long, but they were nice at least

bang for buck: a bit pricy

i was not really a fan, but maybe it is different per person.

very good. we had both burgers and sushi which were unique and delicious. there was smoked calamari that dressed one of the rolls and it was soooo good.

from sushi to burgers, some of the best food in medina. great beer, liquor and wine selection too! always a delight eating there. the staff and manager always ensure your dining experience is great. twisted is nothing like the old sushi on the roll.

service was excellent but calamari served in a pool of grease, dry chicken sandwich on a dry roll, sushi/sashimi menu was a confusing matrix that had to be explained then the sashimi was cut the opposite direction of every sashimi i've ever seen and the hand roll was a single roll with 2 huge slices of tuna jammed in haphazardly that came off more like a fish hot dog than a hand roll.  the cost of this mediocre at best meal for 2 was just under $50 which was in no way a good value.

sushi on the roll? more like sushi at a crawl! waited 30 mins for 1 roll and 3 pieces of nigiri and the roll was missing ingredients! i keep coming back hoping that it will improve but have been disapointed every time!

where to start? the food was okay, i have had better. the problem i had was the managers were drinking wine in front of the customers. that is not what i want to see when i am having dinner with my family. i live in medina however i will not be dining at sushi on the roll again. very unprofessional!

not bad, but too expensive. wednesday, this week, was my second trip to sushi on the roll. i was not overly impressed on my first visit, but thought it was worth a second chance, mostly due to the convenience. two rolls and a soft drink were purchased, plus tip came to just under $20.00. the best i can say is that the sushi is not bad. it is not the worst i've had, but most places that prepare sushi on premises were much better and less expensive. it is absolutely in no way competitive with several other restaurants in town in quality or price. i give it high marks for parking and ease of getting in and out. the staff was pleasant and efficient. if they had a lunch special of 2 rolls and drink for $10 i would consider a return visit. that's what it would take to compete with other locals.

delish fish. last night ordered the chaz, spicy tokyo, & hawaiian rolls to go. service was friendly & rolls prepared quickly. loved the quality and quantity of fish in the spicy tokyo - great for those of us who can't decide between ordering nigiri sushi or rolls. the chaz & hawaiian were both flavorful. kudos to sotr for packaging the accompanying wasabi mayo & sushi sauce separately! when i've had sushi from other restaurants & the sauces are already on the rolls, the result can be a goopy mess bearing little resemblance to the roll's original state.
i liked the contemporary decor and more casual atmosphere. looking forward to dining here in the future!
