turn 'n tender

on sunday the 16th of jan, l ordered a burgermealfrom the cresta restaurant. on arrival the food was all over looking as if it had just been thrown into boxes and delivered. as if that was not enough we realised the burger rolls were stale and the beef patties were burnt so much so that they were bitter.

i proceeded to write an uber eats review which was ignored. i went further as to go and visit the cresta shop manager (because that is how disappointed l was) on wednesday the 19th of jan and alert him of my concern. he took my number and he too also ignored me and didnt come back to me at all to date.

for the price of your food and the quality that you are delivering l will surely not be ordering from you ever again!!

the meat isn’t fresh. it imagine opening yourmealand being hit by a bad smell?!! the pap has been the best part of themealon two occasions now. maybe covid but don’t order for delivery.

my partner and i came here for amealbefore we went to catch a movie .

it was quite empty and we initially opted for an outdoors table but later moved indoors to a booth . the outdoor tables overlook the parking lot and there’s too much going on outside it was a bit distracting for me .
my partner wanted to smoke and i don’t think the place caters for smokers because there was a no smoking sign in the outdoor area and i doubt you could smoke inside so a heads up for the smokers .
our waiter was super friendly and gave us great service .

the decor and atmosphere of the place have a very vintage feel . i really liked the lights that are hanging from the ceiling they create a soft mood and the place doesn’t feel too much like a diner . to eat we both ordered the ribs and calamari combo . but i had the tubed calamari and my partner the squid heads . the ribs were so juicy and succulent . and the calamari was great ,i absolutely enjoyed the lemon and butter sauce it was swimming in .
the food was really good but it took a while to cool down . really wish more restaurants would invest in cooling plates.

they also give you these purple bibs which are super cute . and they came in handy because my partner was wearing a white shirt and is quite a messy eater .

this is a great spot and would definitely recommend it .

wow, what an amazing dining experience! my husband and i went to turn 'n tender for amealto ourselves last friday night. i booked a table in advance and received an sms to confirm my booking.

we were seated and attended to quickly, our drinks arrived promptly and we were given just enough time to decide on our meal. the waitress was very professional and took our order with a smile.

then the food arrived - all i can say is "wow!". ourmealwas truly spectacular and reasonably priced for the large portions. i had the calamari and steak combo, and my only complaint is that the calamari was a bit cold.

the restaurant was fairly dimly lit, but this added to the great ambiance - it was quite a romantic setting and the general chatter was enough to indicate that everyone was having a good time.

been there twice before... great service and good food. took our kids there tonight and was charged r100 for a kiddiesmealwith 4 very small riblets and very crispy chips that my kids could not eat. feel the kiddiesmealis overpriced for what you get. guess we won't be going back.

our 3rd visit. a dramatic improvement. our fillet steak and sauces were top notch. the best steakmeali have had in a very long time and up there with the best. chips were just right as well. i'm struggling to find anything to criticize, really. if the manager had thrown out the usual sad family sitting around reading their un-smartphones, there had been a little music and a slight bit more attention from our waiter,  i would have awarded them a solid 5. for a steakhouse in a mall and considering the improvements in food and service, 4.6 would be a more accurate rating from me. great rum on a cold night.
