overall best tex mex in dallas. lived indallasfor 26 years and have tried dozens of tex mex places. very few places can beat the service, food and drinks at tupinamba's. the very best margarita is the tupi gold when made by elias at the bar.

fried tacos. tupinamba serves big portions of great tex-mex. if you can get over the texas a&m theme you’ll find that thisdallaslandmark is in lockstep with other greats like el fenix and ojeda’s. don’t forget to try a tupy taco. it’s a traditional hard shelled beef taco with an extra step: they deep fry the whole thing. don’t tell your cardiologist.
