hearty breakfast. try the goetta.. let me be straight with you, thisplaceis located in that "shady" and run down part of town that will make you wonder if you should bother eating here. however, you can breathe a sigh of relief once you walk into the restaurant because the people are very friendly and inviting. the food definitely has that home-cooked taste so give it at try if you are looking for a budget friendly meal. if you are not from cincinnati, i recommend you try the goetta. you may love it or hate it but at least you sampled a part of cincinnati culture.

love love love. who doesn't love brunch! thisplacewas amazing. the food was fresh and delicious. the wait staff was nice as can be, and the atmosphere was low key. the outside of theplacelooks sketchy, and the inside to some may even look a little rough, but thisplaceis the real deal. the portions were great, the prices were even better. love this place.

just go in-it really is open-and don't think too hard. it's a giant leap of faith to enter this ancient restaurant and order something. it's another to actually eat in what has to be the grimiestplacei've ever dared to try. but, boy, am i glad i did! my husband got the chicken and waffles, and was served a nice hot fluffy waffle with delicious vanilla-maple syrup and a generous portion of well-seasoned chicken. i ordered huevos rancheros and was just as pleased. we also enjoyed fruit cups with fresh seasonal melon and grapes with our meals. try it yourself, you will be very glad.

tucker's is a cincinnati greasy spoon style diner in the heart of cincinnati's over-the-rine neighborhood. theplacemay not look like much from the outside but the menu is cheap and the food is excellent. the service was superb, with my water glass never going empty even though my friend and i stayed for a half hour gabbing away in our booth.(...)i highly recommend you go down there and try it out. tuckers was a real experience with people from all walks of life stepping in for a little bit of good food from friendly people.

otr! love it!. yesteryear is serving up some of the best breakfast in town! how cool to know the generational life of this dive. the fact that the 90 year original owner still washes the dishes 6 days a week! love it!
the huevos rancheros (veggie) were awesome! best breakfast i have had in a very long time! biscuits and gravy were great and the french toast was said to be really good too! love it! the never ending pipping hot coffee was great!
i loved watching the unexpected collection of people flood the restaurant. it was clear to me, this is an iconicplacein otr. i truly felt like i was having breakfast in someones kitchen. nothing stamped out and warmed up in here!
this is one of my new favorite places! i can't wait to go for lunch! thank you for never giving up on this city!

tucker's is tops for otr breakfast. without question, tucker's is my favorite "dive" restaurant in the city.... period. owned and operated by it's third-generation, joe and carla tucker keep it real ..... authentic that is ..... you'd almost swear you're back in a 1940's-era diner, albeit one that is a well-worn.

i always have breakfast at tucker's (they close at 2 pm), although they do have other tasty "lunch" offerrings. my favorite dish is only served on the weekend, huevos rancheros, and they do it right! their french toast is also a treat and don't forget an order of goetta to round things out.

located in the 'hood, north of liberty, tucker's is not the type ofplaceone would typically drive by and say, "hey that looks like a friendly and inviting place, let's stop in for something to eat!". ironically, it is perhaps the most friendly and welcomingplaceyou'll eat in the city. the crowd is eclectic, diverse and always friendly. joe works the grill and knows the majority of patrons who darken his door by name. his wife, carla, runs the counter side of the business and even his 90-year old mother still works the prep-kitchen.

give tucker's a try and you'll soon be taking all of your adventurous, hip friends to the finest dive in the city!

finally something that stands up to the hype. i went to tucker's after reading reviews on some local food blogs when they described the breakfast served as one of the best in the area. tucker's stands up to the hype. yes, it is a neighborhood that might make you cringe at night, but walk into this deceiving diner and you're almost taken back to the old days. all kinds of people coming together in oneplaceto enjoy great food prepared fresh by the owners. i don't recall being to aplacethat includes a cup of fresh fruit with a meal, and it actually being cut fresh that morning or the day before. they have daily specials as well, and they try to make them vegetarian for you as well if you so desire.
take a ride down to vine street and enjoy a fantastic breakfast. get there at the wrong time and you might have to wait for a table.
