hearty breakfast. try the goetta.. let me be straight with you, this place is located in that "shady" and run down part of town that will make you wonder if you should bother eating here. however, you can breathe a sigh of relief once you walk into the restaurant because the people are veryfriendlyand inviting. the food definitely has that home-cooked taste so give it at try if you are looking for a budgetfriendlymeal. if you are not from cincinnati, i recommend you try the goetta. you may love it or hate it but at least you sampled a part of cincinnati culture.

tucker's is a cincinnati greasy spoon style diner in the heart of cincinnati's over-the-rine neighborhood. the place may not look like much from the outside but the menu is cheap and the food is excellent. the service was superb, with my water glass never going empty even though my friend and i stayed for a half hour gabbing away in our booth.(...)i highly recommend you go down there and try it out. tuckers was a real experience with people from all walks of life stepping in for a little bit of good food fromfriendlypeople.

tucker's is tops for otr breakfast. without question, tucker's is my favorite "dive" restaurant in the city.... period. owned and operated by it's third-generation, joe and carla tucker keep it real ..... authentic that is ..... you'd almost swear you're back in a 1940's-era diner, albeit one that is a well-worn.

i always have breakfast at tucker's (they close at 2 pm), although they do have other tasty "lunch" offerrings. my favorite dish is only served on the weekend, huevos rancheros, and they do it right! their french toast is also a treat and don't forget an order of goetta to round things out.

located in the 'hood, north of liberty, tucker's is not the type of place one would typically drive by and say, "hey that looks like afriendlyand inviting place, let's stop in for something to eat!". ironically, it is perhaps the mostfriendlyand welcoming place you'll eat in the city. the crowd is eclectic, diverse and always friendly. joe works the grill and knows the majority of patrons who darken his door by name. his wife, carla, runs the counter side of the business and even his 90-year old mother still works the prep-kitchen.

give tucker's a try and you'll soon be taking all of your adventurous, hip friends to the finest dive in the city!
