so good. one of my favorite places in tremont! the food is always awesome - everything that i've had, i've loved. there's some very unique stuff on that menu and it's all so good! very good beerselectionand decent happy hour deals. it can get a bit crowded but i've never had an issue with service.

i took a friend there on a recent friday night. the craftselectionis ok, but there is a lot of competition in the in relation to the region's brew pubs. the food seems to be overpriced. $10 for a hamburger that tasted ok?

the place has great character and a nice feel to it except the waitress seemed rushed and i got a feeling she was struggling with meeting her patron's needs. no smiles.

awesome spot for a tremendousselectionof craft beers on tap. foodselectionnot to extensive, but flavors were great. service was fantastic, with the waitress offering plenty of info for a possible gathering in the upstairs party room.

amazing beers and food. was in the other day and was impressed by their great beerselection- some of the best i've seen in a while. i got the house burger - fantastic!!! i'll definitely be coming back!!!!

amazing food and beer selection. this place is awesome. not only is the extensive beerselectionimpressive, but the food is simply amazing as well. i particularly love the pork belly carnitas, the pierogis, and the joshua burger!

yum. visited cleveland for the weekend... researched places beforehand. funny, cab drivers didn't seem familiar with the area, which made us nervous at first. i guess "tourists" don't normally go to the tremont area??

draftselectionis unbelievable, plus i love that you can do a sampler-- more beer places should do this. i got to try beers i normally wouldn't order in a regular size. and it was $10. quite a deal, if you do it right.

calamari appetizer was really good, but unfortunately the sauce had such a sweet kick to it that i had to stop eating it. i guess that's not a terrible thing, but it got to be a bit overwhelming after awhile.

had the "joshua" burger... wish i hadn't filled up on beer because it was so delicious. the sauce was like crack-- i don't even know what was in it, but it was perfect. cooked perfectly, too. would go back there again in a heartbeat.

loved the look/atmosphere inside... they have chalk at the bar so you can draw all over it. they use it to label your "sampler," but also allow you to be a graffiti artist, it seems.

fun place. i really like this spot. great beerselectionand although the menu is not extensive, they have items in a wide range of prices. also, if you get there before 7 there are some happy hour food items at a nice discount. patio is great, but service can be spotty depending upon who you get. i've had outstanding servers and some real marginal ones. overall it's worth the half-hour drive from where i live.

i would come here again!. pros:
huge draft beerselection(the husband was like a kid in a candy store).

great atmosphere (i would suggest bringing a small group of people here and if you really wanted to get frisky, you can play tic tac toe on their chalkboard bar).

friendly staff who knew about the beer (enough said).

great food (very impressed with the small plate selection, especially the pork belly carnitas. really, give it a try. the pork belly melts in your mouth).

cons:
burger prices ($12 is a bit too steep. i'd much rather have a burger in lakewood for around $8 that always knocks my socks off.

burgers (low end burgers are trying to catch up with pork belly, oysters, grilled hanger steak, etc. kobe beef burger might do the trick).

a cleveland gem. i went to the tap house with my familiy and friends last night and it was everything it was cracked up to be and more. an unassuming place from the outside, but a dimly lit, brick walled and luxurious interior greets you on the inside. the beerselectionis top notch, with more unique choices than even winking lizard. i had a tappist monk brew on draft. we started with the pretzel with stout and cheddar dipping sauce. i had a wild mushroom veggie burger with fontina cheese and jalapeno aioli paired with a goat cheese salad with almonds and grapes. one of the best meals i've had at a bar or any place in cleveland. my mom got the mac and cheese and my brother the free range chicken. both were very tasty and flavored to perfection. i also tried their house veggie, braised brussel sprouts, and it blew my mind. i didnt even know i liked brussel sprouts! good food, excellent wait staff, great beer in a wonderful setting. the guy who took my reservation made it a point to come say hello and knew my name. i am definitely going back. the tap house is one of cleveland's best restaurants.

what the bspot wants to be.. just so you know, i do like the bspot, a whole lot, but the tap house is much better.

1) cooler neighborhood.
2) better beerselectionby far.
3) the food is almost as good. the pizzas are not great but everything else is good.
4) the salads are better than bspot.

great place for a meal, brunch or a beer and munchies on the patio.. great food and kick-ass beerselectionserved in a fun atmosphere by friendly, attentive and knowledgable people. manager christian is alway quick to offer an expert recommendation from the extensive and unique beer menu and has a great sense of humor to boot.

good beer and food. i've been trying to get the taphouse for more than a year. finally went there for a quick drink and taste on saturday. beerselectionon tap is very above average and menu looked good. i had the mussels and frites, strang combination includes bits of bacon and blue cheese and "thrown together in a large bowl...it was outstanding and at the end i was scooping the broth with a discarded shell to savor the last drop. my lovely wife ordered the ahi tuna sandwich and was equally impressed. sat at the bar and service was excellent. we will be back !! soon !!
