agreatbennett valley jewel!. i walked into trattoria cattaneo and decided to sit at the bar as i was by myself. riccardo (the owner) asked if i wanted something to drink right away. i ordered a peroni (beer) it was ice cold. he told me the specials & i ordered the seared mahi-mahi topped with salsa verde and polenta on fresh spinach. after a couple minutes riccardo brought me a slice of bruschetta which was delicious! the staff in there was very attentive. about the time i finished my peroni, i was brought my meal. it looked & smelled wonderful. i ordered one more peroni & took my first bite of my meal. it melted in my mouth. wow!! i thoroughly enjoyed it. the service wasgreatand it wasgreatgetting a chance to talk to riccardo & julie (the cook). thank you riccardo & julie for a wonderful dinner. i will be back often and will recommend this place to all my friends.

excellent. had a last minute family dinner with about 14 people. none of us had ever been here but my mom knew the materd from a his last restaurant in novato so thought we would try. the food was excellent and the service was superb. could not have asked for a better meal or service for our big italian family. we were treated like family. thank you so much for agreattime.

what agreatexperience. the seafood salad was incredible and the gnocci with pesto was to die for. the atmosphere was lively, agreatfamily restaurant. service was super, i can't wait to go back.

warm atmoshphere and really good food. if you enjoy the simple pleasures of eating really good food. this is the spot. its a small place but, the owners make you feel right at home and the atmoshphere (depending on how busy they are birthday parties vs. no birthday parties) can be warm and enjoyful..when there are parties going its a bit loud and can be somewhat crowded...but, once you taste the food, everything else turns into background noise until it fades away...the hospitality is off the charts... ricardo and julie, are agreatteam and they seem to never forget a face..which makes it even more of an experience the more you go, because they actually like and care for there customers experience and it shows.. last night i enjoyed a beef ravioli dinner that was off the charts good, coupled with a glass of taft street pinot, oooooo weeee...
this is agreatplace for a date..good enough to bring children..all in all, i have been there twice now and i will be returning for sure.

great food,greatwine,greatservice. i recently moved to bennett valley. my boyfriend and i have made a point of supporting our local businesses in the area. we made our first visit to trattoria cattaneo recently and loved everything about it.greatfood.greatatmosphere. the owners/chef are very attentive and friendly. this is truly a place where you can relax and enjoy a wonderful meal. we will definitely be back!

excellent italian food in bennett valley. we have been accustomed to driving pretty far from home to have a really good italian meal. no more! no matter where you live, make your way to trattoria cattaneo. the eggplant parmesan is to die for, the marinara sauce is divine, as are the homemade pastas, and the service couldn't be better. walk in for your very own "ciao, bella!" and enjoy agreatmeal.
