a gem ! food was excellent. roast pork belly with the best sweet potato. beef short rib wit teriyaki sauce also a winner. the ambiance of the restaurant is casual but still personal and special for a romantic dinner for two or a family birthday celebration. and the train that passes by occasionally make having dinner in old station building even more fun. choose your wine from theirselectionof delicious wines. i will return !

chose transkaroo on a visit to george based on the zomato reviews and it did not disapoint. this is a beautiful spot with tons of character! our waitress was lovely and gave some great suggestions. the peri-peri prawns were amazing! portions are quite generous so good value as well. great food, great wineselectionand great service! will deffinitely go back...

one of my favourite restaurants in garden route, food was delicious,beef fillet was melting in the mouth,friendly stuff,largeselectionof wines.can not say it is over priced for the quality of food one gets there.
