tower cafe

we ordered out last week.  i have to admit that the food was just ok in the past but this time it was really bad.  the food had no flavor but the sauces did.  without the sauces on the side i don't think i would have finished my meal.   sorry towercafebut for the price the food should be better.

at towercafewe got a caffe latte and overall it would be good drink to drink, but it is not strong enough to give you energy. it is a bit watery, but a nice creamy feel, it was rated a 3. also we got the beef stew which was said to be the best beef stew, so it was rated 5 out of 5. we got the wedge salad, and said from a few people that it was a nice compliment to the rest of the dishes. the atmosphere and service was great and quick. salad overall was a 3.5 also we got the earth burger which was a great vegetarian dish and very pleasin, it was a 4 out of 5 stars.

excellent. towercafeis definitely a must visit restaurant. prepare for a bit of a wait, which means it's popular because it's good. sit outside if weather permits. friendly staff, great menu, priced right. you'll be telling your friends about this one.

spread too thin. after having eaten at the towercafefour times now, i am surprised to see such glowing reviews. while it is fun to go to a place decorated with such international flair, a large and varied menu, and always bustling, it all seems to come at the cost of the quality of the food and speed of service.

i've had something from each section of the menu, and each time my food was mediocre at best, and i've had the same dish, far superior, at another sacramento restaurant.

the portabella toscana sandwich looked good, but it was much better at pronto on 16th and p.

so take the extra time to narrow down what you're actually in the mood for and go to a place that serves it, that way when you order that kind of food, it'll be good.
