friday night (5-11-12). my wife and along with some friends dined here this friday night. this was my first visit and we are sure it will not be the last. the resturant is well maintained and thefoodis super. the menu is diverse, as such there is something for everyone all at reasonable prices. from meat loaf, to blacken tuna, to shrimp n grits, everyone thought they had made the best selection. the owners are the cooks and servers, a combination that assures you that the level of service will have you returning.

greatfoodin large portions! everyone working there is very friendly, and i could not have been more satisfied with my visit. i will definitely put this restaurant on my list of favorites!

badfoodat tortugas. this $18.00 meal was terrible. the caesar salad was iceberg cut by knife in ribbons and the croutons were seasoned heavily with oregano...not even close to a caesar salad. i had grilled chicken pasta....bad pressed chicken breast loaf and un-rinsed pasta that was sticky, pasty, with no kind of attempt at a flavorful sauce or garlic oil flavor...terrible and for the price even worse. we will never go back and hope no one else wastes their money on a meal at this bad eatery. there is so much goodfoodinsavannah this is a shame.

a plus. always ask about the special; thefoodis all cooked by the owner who flat out cooks;

if u r not happy tell them you were not happy and they should gladly take care of you and make sure you are; that is customer service and they have it there;

all therefoodis great; order what u like and it will be excellent; the chicken sandwiches are ridiculous and so is the seafood;

thefoodwas yummy and unique. we enjoyed our meal very much! the restaurant is in a nice location and has a comfortable atmosphere. the only downside is that it's a teensy bit pricey.

love this place!. all i have to say is this restaurant is a hidden gem. my family and i have now ate their for brunch, lunch and dinner and my office has even had lunch meetings and carry outs. they are a very family oriented restaurant and not only do they have wonderfulfoodbut the best service in town. they are also pet friendly! you have to try this place out!

yummy!. have eaten here for lunch and dinner. this laid back cafe has greatfoodand great service. on friday nights they usually have music, which is always very good. the shrimp and grits are awesome! the owners are from maryland, so the crabcake and crab soup are the real deal! plus its off the beaten path in thunderbolt which makes it a charming little place to eat:)

great spot!. quaint lil place with a ladi back atmosphere. staffi s friendly enough and thefoodis good! the panini's are awesome. a must try if you are in the thunderbolt area :-)

we were looking for an out of the way brunch spot today, and were hoping to find a dog friendly spot, when i remembered hearing something about a place in thunderbolt that had been voted 'best undiscovered restaurant' or something like that. we hopped in the car with the dog, and were unbelievably lucky to have found tortugas grille. it is a cute place with outside, pet friendly seating and plenty of parking out back. we both ordered from the brunch menu. we each ended up ordering the 'big breakfast' because it came with portions of most of what was on the menu. i had scrambled eggs, with cheese added, a piece of their french toast which came with their amazing praline syrup, a patty of the housemade apple sausage, perfectly golden housefries, and a beyond perfect fluffy biscuit. the service was super friendly, and our great server brought a bowl of water for our dog right as we sat down. thefoodtook a little while to get, but worth the wait. we can't wait to return.

just walked into this thunderbolt spit and was very surprised by the food. casual relaxed environment and excellentfoodat a very reasonable price. not to mention a very friendly owner... a+
