super awsome ambience.. double super awsome food and tastes sooooo yummy.. must must must trymexicanhot pot.. it has more than enough quantity for two..

everything was great. thoroughly enjoyed. didn't get the twisties that we usually get with themexicanhotpot. please remember to send it next time :)

the place is spunky and feels like you are seated in an american restaurant with cool environment and dull lighting. the food is delicious and scrumptious. we orderedmexicanhotpot and also chose to go for friday fixed lunch menu. friday menu comes for a single person with small portion of food in every category-launching from beat the heat refreshing drink and then followed by soup, paneer starter, hara bhara kebab, pasta, salad, two types of north indian vegetable, daal, different types of breads, pulao amd eventually ending up with hot brownie with ice cream.
i just felt that the captain was not proactive in suggesting order. when its friday-just tell people there is a fixed meal available to those who are clueless.

everytime i visit ahmedabad, this is a must visit place. love everything here.

best thing about this place :

free popcorn !!! seriously, they give you the most awesome popcorns that you have ate probably and that too for free. as soon as you enter and find a place for yourself, you get a full basket of popcorn on your table, so that you don't stop munching from the time you order your food, till the time it arrives. great thinking !!!

food :

yummy is the word when you eat at tomato's. it serves italian andmexicanthe best, but they also have north indian food and it is equally good. my personal favourite is themexicanhotpot. the rice and fries everything is perfect. the moment you eat your first spoon, it is a burst of flavours.

death by chocolate is my personal favorite from their beverages. must give a try. you can also go for their non-alcoholic beer.

service :

well the service is a bit slow i must say, but still it's not that bad.
the one thing i don't love about the place is the staff. like the restaurant has such a cool and happy vibe and the staff here always seems to be in some tension and i actually feel like if i don't decide what to order and order fast, he will kill me. please wear a smile, staff !!

ambience :

it has an ambience full of this old american celebrities pictures and some really funny quotes. for e.g. a quote at their bathroom door says : "you only understand how long a minute is, when you are in front of this bathroom door". you can spend a whole day reading all those quotes.

overall :

a very good place to be when in ahmedabad. so yes 4/5 stars :)

mexican hotpot ,pasta arrabiata and pizza are the most amazing preparations in tomatoes. of all the places tomatoes serve the bestmexicanhotpot that too in such large quantity sufficient for two. such refreshing ambience and trained staff.

very good place. the interiors are retro and so damn beautiful. we had ordered fish and chips, hara bhara kebabs, chicken manchow soup, house tangy special sour and pepper soup andmexicanhotpot. the fish was so well cooked. the hotpot was delicious and too good in quantity. lastly, the service was a cherry on the top!

chilli garlic noodles were amazing and so were supreme nachos andmexicantrio. i had the chilli guava drink which was more on sweeter side than chilli but still was good enough. the staff was courteous and attending well.

was very excited to eat here as i heard a lot from everyone but was completely disappointed with the overall food experience. had orderd spring rolls but it was more like chinese samosa served at farsan shops (infact chinese samosa seemed much better). we ordered white sauce pasta with sweet corn and onion but it was only pasta in white sauce. no traces of anything we specified. the garlic bread as an accompaniment was so dry and no hint of garlic.mexicanhotpot was ok. not all worth recommending. just because you earned the tag of heritage, vintage and so on doesn't make any sense unless there's quality. the times food award pic just at the entrance just a gimmick. small cafes and restaurants are much better in terms of food and also price.

expected it to be a bit more spicy.mexicanfood is actually spicy and the spice was missing from it. it didn’t even smell spicy.

big fan of tomato'smexicanhot pot. bt this time it could not satisfy cravings. the rice was less in quantity compared to that of gravy and so taste was more tangy.

one word: exquisite. ordered for home delivery, themexicanhot pot - 5/5 & the baked lasagna - 5/5. both dishes arrived piping hot and were flavorsome. excellent packaging. tomato’s lived up to their fame with this order, and met the high standards expectations. thank you for the great service, tomato’s! keep it up and continue to maintain these high standards.

tomato's is one of the iconic restaurants of ahmedabad and rightfully the legacy continues. it's no longer amexicancuisine restaurant. serves all different kinds of cuisines. had ordered chicken khow suey. it was absolutely amazing. the portion was enough for 2 people. friends orderedmexicanhot pot which was another delicacy. love the ambience and american diner vibes with plush sofas and a bar. wish they could serve alcohol too!!

no salt inmexicanbowl. paneer was burnt.

themexicansauce which is there in hotpot was leaking
