absolutely the best thai restaurant in sydney! they havelunchspecial everyday till 5? try their tom yum fried rice and mango sticky rice when the season coming

great place to eat a+++. very nice thai food with great value. at least twice a week i have mylunchor dinner. highly recommend.

had thelunchspecial, so meals were discounted from the standard menu. my veggie pad thai was $8.50, the seafood lad nah was $11(chinese brocolli with gravy) and curry puffs were$2 each. the place is always packed and is great value for money. all dishes were cooked really well and very generous. for example, the seafood dish included salmon, mussels, prawns and squid! recommend :)

one of my fave thai places to go to in sydney. tom yum tum gang is a great place to eat with family and friends. thelunchhour on weekdays is tops too! $8 a meal excluding seafood :)

we had the pad thai and jungle curry this time around. everything is yum. tom yum tum gang uses the freshest produce. i'm a fan of broccoli, mushroom and capsicum!

fast pace, great service. really good food at affordable prices. friendly staff.

went there on a sunday forlunchand had a terrible experience with the lady at the counter who was absolutely rude. i queried a cost (i thought the 2 on the paper meant 2 x cokes instead of $2) very calmly, which resulted in her rolling her eyes and speaking very rudely to me. i proceeded to ask her if she was having a bad day which then resulted in her screaming at me in chinese. not warranted at all!! absolutely rude and would never come here again! the food is cheap, so i guess you cant expect decent service right?

what does one starving foodie and her partner in crime do on a long weekend? eat her way through glebe of course!
this was aroundlunchtime, a glorious saturday afternoon and two grumbling tummies to satisfy!
my partner in crime wishing to attack into some wholesome and carb laden food, which eventually led us to this locale.
this thai grub hub is situated three quarters of the way down glebe point rd, near st john st. this eatery when you walk past it, is always filled with hungry mouths waiting to be fed.
thinking to myself... proof is in the pudding! it can't be busy if it's not half decent?
that sealed the deal and...
well, this place became ourlunchtime dining joint out of all the places we could have devoured and delighted the taste bud, where you are inundated in choices of cuisine and different types of eateries.
if you want good food and great ambiance... well this is not the place to come to. this is no art nouveau eating house. the decor are simple and straight to the point. with simple tables and plastic chairs situated close together, as this is quite a small place. some tables were positioned outside to accommodate the demand.
well now i know why they were so busy! why cook, when you could eat cheap and delicious thailunchfor under $10 per person. one dish is suffice.
i must say though... i have had better thai cuisine else where, but for this price, who can complain!?
what did we order?
i ordered the chilli rice noodles stir fried with pork and my dining companion ordered the kra prao. i could not believe that, this noodle dish filled me up for the nextlunchand dinner. i was in serious food coma, walking through glebe market with that much food in my belly made me feel like i was carrying a small food child.
as for food promptness and service:
the food came our fairly promptly, the service quite basic. water was topped up consistently. you will never feel dehydrated, or is it the fact that... they are trying to mask the msg?
i don't know? too late to think about that now!
would i come back here?
yeah i would come back here for a quick bite, for it is light on the pocket and a bucket full of flavour. nothing outstanding, but tasty enough to return to grab a quick chow.

food: ordered the massaman curry and pad thai. fresh ingredients, really tasty. unbeatablelunchtime value $8. superb. service: despite the restaurant overflowing with people (a good sign), food come out really quickly. efficient service, with so many punters it needs to be. ambience: cafe style, outside eating. open plan and has lots of natural light. nice all round.

there really isn't much hiding in thai flavours. it's either great or not so great and this place is awesome. staff are friendly and constantly on their toes, which reflects well on the management team.

the atmosphere is welcoming and incredibly family friendly but can consequently be a little too noisy. the vibrancy of the restaurant just takes you to a happy place and i am desperately trying to get my hands on a replica of the fat lady in bikini figurines that they have on display in the restaurant. if anyone knows where i can find one, please hook me up!

food is authentic with a substantial menu to cater for vegetarians. pad thai could be a little sweeter for my tastes but i am a true fan of their penang curries and satay chicken skewers. sauces are plentiful and they definitely don't skimp on proteins when ordered.

menu is priced competitively andlunchspecials are an absolute steal. portion sizes are reasonable and parking in front is free for 15mins. great for takeaway pickups!

great authentic inexpensive thai food.. i visit this thai place very often as they serve generous portion of food with great authentic thai taste with inexpensive price. my sister-in-law is from thailand. when i brought her to this thai eatery she was commenting how good and authentic the food was. the food is always fresh and price are very reasonable. for theirlunchspecial they only charge $10 for seafood pad thai. great serving of seafood and noodles not so sweet and flavorsome. if you have meat or vegetable dish they only charge $7.50. you cant go wrong trying that place out for such inexpensive price. i travel from brighton-le-sands to glebe to have my thai food cravings as i know their food is alway s consistent. talk about it and thinking about the food makes me hungry.

had pad see ew take-away. quite busy duringlunchtime, service was quick, average food, the sauce was too heavy.

this place is a favourite for all at our office. $7.50lunchup until 5pm can't be beaten - and the food is always hot & fresh.
pad thai's etc are great, as are the soups, chicken wings & chilli noodles. new finds are the bbq chicken/salad & seafood salad (seafood dishes $10) both come with rice, salad & pineapple. loud, quick & staff are super quick. i miss the guy who looks like a big girl.
