i come here on a fairly frequent basis and like to try the rolls but, i’m also a “creature of habit” and stick to the japanese onion soup, which is awesome, i’d buy that by the gallon if they let me. if you like spicy (and i mean spicy) i recommend the supernova roll! the “outlaw roll” has a healthy size of kick to it as well. the hand rolls are great too (i like the spicy tuna). the volcanorollis great, but a bit much for one person if you’re also ordering appetizers. another one to check out is the “butterfly roll”. it has bonita flakes that are super light and thin and the heat that comes off of therollmakes them move, looking like butterflies. it’s not particularly spicy (and if i can remember correctly, it has tempura shrimp) and it’s an off-menu item, but they’ll be happy to make it for you. they are also accommodating with adjustments (soy paper. etc).

all in all the service is very good and the wait staff is friendly and helpful (they know my face, lol)

delicious!!. a few girlfriends and i went for lunch and were very very happy. it looked like it was gonna be similar to any other chain restaurant, and the decor, set up, etc actually was chain-y, but the menu had stuff i hadn't seen before.

we ordered the crab/cheese stuffed jalepenos, serously they were the size of a small mcdonalds cup, each one of them. and they were the best ones i've ever had. so now we know bigger really is better :)

good selection of sushi rolls, discount applied i think b/c of the time of day or maybe what day it was,either way the pricing was fine. our waitress was very helpful and friendly, not simply taking our order, delivering our food and doing the random walk-by. she was helpful!

i always make it a point to tell my server if i've never been to that particular restaurant before because i'm looking for them to tell me, or anyone new, something i may need/want to know. like the specials on monday if we're there on a monday, some guidance when choosing new sushi rolls, if i like somthing spicy whatrollcould you recommend, etc. she was all of this, and i so wish i remembered her name. i'll see if i can spot her when i go in next & give credit where credit is due.

the sushi is fresh and ta is a master at his craft. i love sitting at the bar and chatting with him while he works. very generous portions and everything i've ever had has been wonderful. try the sweet and sourrollwith tuna inside!!!
