looking for a latino bar when in kapitolyo? titto'slatinbbq & brew got you covered! the place itself is impressive! huge, high ceiling, second floor to boot with lots of wall art! a map oflatinamerica, colorful wall paintings that speak festivities, feel good quotes and lots of natural light fill the place. you can't help but feel happy when you're here!! the ambiance itself is a winner!

onto the food, they had us sample quite a spread! their menu is extensive and can get a little overwhelming too.

for starters:

- nacho el gigante: a loaded platter of tortilla chips topped with lots of beef, tomato salsa, jalapenos, shredded lettuce, chimichurri, cream and lots of cheese! it's the perfect starter!

- dos tipos calamares: my favorite from the starters, do not skip this! more than just your usual calamares, the chewey swuid rings were covered in a light but crisp squid ink batter. it's then topped with sautéed calamares and served with a mayo based garlic dip! what a treat!

- elote: this was okay. lacking some strong spices, some liked this though.

- titto's wings: deep fried wings smothered with chipotle glaze, nothing wow. dip into the blue cheese crema to cut through the flavor of the glaze.

for quesadilla, we had the pollo pizzadilla. pretty round thing! it's an open faced tortilla pizza, with lots of cheese, grilled chicken chunks, chimichurri, tomatoes and pimientos topped with mixed greens. looked so good but this was just okay.

ensalada: titto's salad! mixed greens with patacones, kani, tomatoes, crumbled cheese in a balsamic peach-basil vinaigrette. this was good! hints of salty and sweet, i liked this!

for the mains, we had the following:

- lomo saltado: tender strips of beef sirloin in a thick gravy like sauce reduction with potatoes, tomatoes and pimientos. this was tasty and best consumed with rice!

- pollo asado: the usual roasted chicken, done with a secret marinade, served with mango salsa and chimichurri. this was good but not wow.

- cordero a la parilla: grilled lamp shoulders smothered with gravy and served with chimichurri, this was a little tough.

- 18 hours gaucho steak: my fave among the mains served, the tender cuts of hanger steak were well seasoned and tasty!

paella: carne and negra!

- their paella de carne was loaded with chicken and chorizo, green peas and french beans. i found this just okay, needing some strong chicken flavor. maybe more chicken stock would make it better?

- arroz negra was loaded with seafood. squid ink rice topped with squid rings, prawns, mussels and tinapa. better than the carne version for me.

then for dessert, we had the following:

- dulce de leche cheesecake: believe me when i say that this is one of the best dulce de leche cheesecake in town! a thick slice of frozen cheesecake topped generously with dulce de leche, cornflakes, chocolate sauce and strawberry puree. so good! happy happy dance!

- tittos ube churros: this was just okay. the churros were dry, imo. i would love a more distinct ube flavor!

- frozen brazo de mercedes: another good dessert! buttered graham crust x vanilla ice cream x custard x meringue! plated with some crushed oreos, fresh strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream - each spoonful was a delight!

they also served an assortment of tacos which i wasn't able to try.

if it wasn't for zomato, i wouldn't have found tittoslatinbbq & brew. i was planning on eating around the kapitolyo area, and saw it listed in the 'best of manila' list. and as the saying goes, 'the rest is history.'

upon entering the place, loudlatinmusic and colors greet you. the place was pretty full, but i managed to maze my way to the single corner table that the waitress led me too. in some cases, i would mind the mazing. this time however, i didn't. i was very excited to try the food out, and i was able to eye some dishes of other customers as i passed by their tables. seeing the food made me start to drool. lol! 😜

i was pretty torn as to what to order. but with the chef recommendations marks on the menu, along with the waiter's recommendation, it didn't take long for me to decide what to order.

soup:
sopa de ajo - i love mushroom soup. i love truffle oil. this had them, and i didn't even have to think twice to order it. umami on umami flavors. it was the perfect way to start my meal. admittedly, it was also fave dish of the night.

platittos:
elote - corn with a whole lot of goodness on top. more than the standard butter. it's got all flavor components from sweet, salty, sour and spicy. a must try!

street tacos:
beef barbacoa w/ black tortilla - their bestseller taco! beef was nice and chewy soft, not a melt in your mouth soft. loads of beefiness in such a small serving. the black tortilla was a tad bit different. a little tougher than the standard white, no floury taste. the toughness isn't bad. even with a double tortilla, you will need something strong and stable than the standard tortilla to be able to hold its heftiness

salted egg shrimp w/ white tortilla - the salted egg hype has hit the taco-scene too. not as salty as i expected like other dishes at other places, but that's a good thing. cannot overpower the delicate taste of shrimp.

postres:
dulce de leche cheesecake - dulce de leche, ultimatelatindessert, fused with a cheesecake? yes please! it may have seemed rich and too sweet on the menu, but not as much as i thought. it wasn't 'nakakaumay' which is good. i honestly hate things disgustingly sweet. sweetness level here was just right. the strawberry puree was obviously made from a syrup or jam of sorts. i would have preferred fresh ones, but then again, strawberries are seasonal.

food: 5.0 - bestlatincuisine that i have had. enough said!

price: 5.0 - things may seem pricey. but the quality and serving sizes are really good.

service: 5.0 - quick service. attentive and friendly staff. food was served pretty fast even with the dinner rush.

ambience: 4.5 - i love the loud colors and music. place is very bright, atmosphere feels lively. downside, the place is cramped with chairs and tables. i think they tried to fit in as much as possible. still, there's just enough space to walk in between tables, just dont spread your arms.

surely without a doubt, i will be coming back. still plenty of food that i want to try. highly recommended. no doubt, tittos is one of the top places to eat at in town. 👍

been in the mood for mexican food for quite sometime and i decided to try tittoslatinbbq and brew in kapitolyo.

i was lucky i was there quite early and was able to park.

that menu is quite extensive so i decided to get the following:

4 cheese quesadilla - was quite good. i especially like the onion jam. the touch of sweetness was a pleasant surprise

roast chicken with mexican rice - the chicken was flavorful and moist but a little greasy for my taste.

dulce de leche cheesecake - now this is a winner! the caramelized cornflakes with the dulce de leche sauce was great with the tangy cheesecake

if you're looking for authentic mexican food, titto's is the place to be! we surely enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely come back for more! there are so many dishes to try, all of them come at an affordable price.

we ordered the 18-hour gaucho steak (605php), dos tippos calamares (269.50php), four-cheese quesadillas (324.50php), arroz latino (71.50php), titto's iced tea (105php), and cucumber elderflower(110php).

all were delicious, but my favorites were the steak and quesadillas. the tenderness of the meat is just perfect along with thelatingravy that's being served. the four cheese quesadillas are surprisingly cheesy and go well with their special sauce.

the service was excellent as the staff are attentive. the place was neatly organized and is also really spacious. moreover, the prices are just right for the servings that they offer!

i love the food. it all tastes good and the presentation is nice. thelatintaste is legit. service is good too. the only thing that disappointed me was that when we weren't able to finish our food, we had the waiter pack the food so we can take it home. when we got home, i was actually pissed off when i unpacked the food and found out that they did not pack the leftover sauce that actually came with the wings that we ordered. the sauce wasn't even half finished.

one of two lechons was from tittoslatinbbq & brew! i enjoyed the immense tenderness of the meat and incredulous crunch from the skin. the lechon de leche was flavorful and good partner to the varied beer options we had that night. thank you tittos for making our christmas party fun. recommended.

its our second time coming here, and its definitely a step up when it came to the experience. the ambience was very nice. the food came at a reasonable pace. the servers are all friendly. overall, its a good "bang for your buck" kinda place, if youre looking for an authentic tastinglatincuisine experience. carne asada fries stole the show, and the cocktails we got from the 2+2 certainly delivers. never be afraid to ask for the bar menu as the servers will be more than happy to hand it over to you, as they dont really give it out right away.

one of my favorite cuisines yet:latinamerican. as long as there'slatin& bbq on the name, i'm definitely down for it!

for the appetizers, we had the tuna tirataki, nacho el gigante, and elote. their nachos really lived up to their name (which is giant) and overloaded with toppings. i love their cheese sauce. meanwhile, the elote also caught my attention since i love all things with corn in it.

for the mains, chiquitos, truffle pork pizzadilla, and pollo asado was presented. the pollo asado smelled so good (like the one i had in gringo). it comes with 2 choice of sides, mexican coleslaw and papas bravas. i love their truffle pork pizzadilla! the pork belly strips and melted cheeses are definitely dreamy. the chiquitos has an overpowering taste for me, or maybe it was dipped in too much amount of salsa taquera.

and lastly for the desserts, we had the dulce de leche cheesecake and frozen brazo de mercedes! i liked the frozen brazo more. for the refreshments, i tried their pineapple ginger juice. i find the taste really cute and gingery, but sweet-- not tastes like salabat tea.

would love to try their paella de carne and costillitas soon!

titto's is not specifically just for the titos and titas of manila but for anyone who wants a lot of latino magic in their meal.

the restaurant just screams fiesta! with its colorful interiors and interesting booth seatings in the second floor. the ambience is so festive that it feels like you'relatinamerica and ready for whatever the kitchen brings you.

start off with cool latino drinks or agua fresca! love the tamarind cola, cucumber elderflower and the limonada rosada. refreshing talaga!

must- try latino inspired appetizers....
tuna tirataki - seared sesame-crusted tuna with squid ink crisps

tapas de chipa - fried cheese bread (chipa) topped with salmon & cream cheese, radish and truffle honey

go for the chiquitos!
deep fried rolled tacos filled with chicken. love the spicy salsa and the cheese herb topping! must order!!!

share a truffle pork pizza!
think crust pizza with lots of cheese and think sliced pork belly singing to the tune of truffle oil!

be a carnivore!
get the 18-hour gaucho steak!
and the pollo asado todo! juicy flavorful and mouth watering served with salsa and chimichurri sauce. you gotta try this!

don't forget the dolce!!!
save room for dessert! frozen brazo de mercedes and dulce de leche cheesecake.

my husband likes ordering nachos in almost everywhere we visit, and he didn’t skipped on this one. we shared an order of el gigante nachos (php 275, medio for 3 pax; php 545, grande for 6 pax). the nachos were topped with a trio of cheese, tomato salsa, chimichurri, mexican crema, jalapeños, and chunks of beef. truthfully, it was not one of the best versions we’ve had. though it didn’t quite reach the same lofty heights, it was still a gratifying dish. conveying beefiness and creaminess for the most part, it had just the right amount of crunch and chew.

sisig chicharrones (php 155) was a hit with crispy pork mask and pork chicharrones leading the way. the onions and pimientos made up for a little bit of spice, while melted cheeses and quail egg served as great accompaniments, all wrapped up into one soft flour tortilla. the familiar flavors here definitely worked!

beef barbacoa (php 155) arrived with the beautiful house-made squid ink tortillas, meaty heft of shredded beef barbacoa, and chimichurri sauce which gave a great depth to the dishes. all these were tied together by the creamy mexican crema, crunchy slaw, and potato strips. to elevate the course further, squeeze half of a lime for a nice citrus and zesty twist. a must try!

chiquitos (php 155) also did not fail us that night. we got a really satisfying back-and-forth between the deep-fried tacos and the tasteful salsa taquera. sprinkled with crumbled queso fresco and mexican crema, this appetizing dish was spot on: moist on the inside, but still crispy on the outside.

for pizza, we ordered the best-recommended truffle pork pizza (php 345) as seen on the menu. while the torched pork belly strips made a strong showing, it did not quite match how it looked. this pizza was shy on the taste of truffle and didn’t impart much of thelatinspices i expected for it to have.

dinning here was an impulsive choice, so we did not really expected much... but the food here is really great! the nachos are how it should be, the sisig was amazing, considering it's alatinresto. the pizza is thin and crisp with lots of flavor, we got the garlic and shrimp bbq and it is so addicting to the point na "mabibitin" ka... we got a little problem on our steak, we ordered for a medium doness but got an overly well done steak... however the crew was happy to replace it and got what we wanted (if you could see the difference in both steak pictures)

i would have rated this a 5 but i would just give it a 4.9 because of a little off situation, there was a lady crew who was maybe suppose to usher guest from the entrance, and we were seated close, who keeps staring at us and made us really uncomfortable.

i would definetly comeback :)

kapitolyo is a great place if you want to go on a food trip because it's considered as the foodie haven of pasig. . one of the frequent haven of foodies here is tittos latin bbq & brew. tittos serves contemporarylatinamerican comfort food that is tweaked to cater to the pinoy palate.

new menu alert and it’s oh so goood!

let’s hype the titos this time - because the titas are overrated na, haha!

tittoslatinbbq and brew will take you on a gastronomic adventure w/ their new offerings and they will not disappoint your palate and your tummy. each viand boasts of flavors, texture and pleasing visual art combo’d w/ their artsy, semi industrial and muraled chill decor where your clique can chill and lose track of time.

the bomb were: la lucha salad (the fried mushroom took my breath away), el puerco ala brasa (the guac paste, chili and the pork was amazing) and el caesar burrito (salad in a burrito but w/ alatinamerican flair?! boy it’s a beautiful mess when eaten).

needs improvement: the pizzas were a bit bland and the steak was a bit tough even if it was cooked medium. nevertheless, it was an awesome food-venture as if it took me directly tolatinamerica, haha.

tip: bring your wolf crew because the portions are good to share.

we had our anniversary dinner here. the food i can say has big servings and flavorful. the ambiance was like alatinamerican, mexican vibe. there were guests upstairs who we thought had a party. they were a bit noisy which is ok because it is a party however i will suggest that the restaurant would have a separate function room to cater big group guests;)
