this place changed its name and style and went downhill rapidly. i no longer eat there. it's a shame, as it was a pretty good restaurant once.

when it's good, it's really, really good. i really like some specific menu items: the hand rolled cheese queso appetizer (you need to really like cheese, to enjoy these and you'll need to share), the fresh flour tortillas, the steak fajitas, the chips and salsa + an order of their mocahethe sauce to eat with the chips and to top the rice.
didn't like the fish tacos at all and have tried a few other unmemorable items, so i stick to what is consistently good. i can understand why some folks didn't like it, they probably ordered something that ninfa's doesn't execute well. every time we walk past the bar (it's seperate from the dining area) is always super busy, so apparently they make some great drinks.

great food. always have taken the family here for great mexican food. the green dip along with the salsa are a wonderful treat before dinner too. ninfarita should be added to the webster dictionary because it is that good.

tried this again friday night...

shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas.

shrimp, big but overdone.
chicken, dried and burnt.
steak, glad to know i can get bad beef jerkey for 30$ somewhere. i've truly been wondering that.

as for the veg in the tortilla bowl... wilted and brown. not a single aspect of the meal was acceptable. 80$ after tip...

sorry, maybe i'm expecting too much from a chain, but i've had good mexican. i've definitely had decent food before. this was neither.

to the person who said taco bell over this, i agree. at least i know taco bell is going to brutally attack my digestive system and that adventure will be the highlight of the experience. and taco bell doesn't feel the need to pull 80$ unnecessarily out of my wallet.

in short, you want good food from south of the border... you go to la reyna. you want tex mex, you go to zippy's. you want overpriced poorly cooked food that insults people of any latino heritage the world over... ninfas is for you.

they even managed to burn my usual staple of sopapillas and brought me the wrong tequila... i give up.

boxed food... even that would be better.

i order the same thing every time i'm forced to go to this overpriced deltaco: sopapillas and tequila.

service is always great, but the food isn't worth digesting.

last time i decided to branch out and order a chimichanga at a friend's birthday, he is unfortunately minus tastebuds. it smelled... bad, aged beef is an awesome delicacy, this was allow left on your dash for three months.

sopapillas and tequila please?

utterly disappointing.

any one who says ninfas food is terrible and the person who said they would rather eat taco bell....you are nuts you go to ninfas to eat the fajitas...if not you don't know what good food is...fresh made tortillas says enough.

simple mexican food. no bells or whistles just exactly what we've all come to expect in a family friendly american/mexican restaurant.

in love. ninfa's is sort of a monthly thing for us, if not more often. their chips and dip are the best, and i love their fried ice cream! they get pretty busy on friday and saturday nights though so it would be a good idea to make reservations, but they always bring out our food fast. i don't really have anything bad to say.

very disappointed!!!. went for lunch, has to be the worst mexican food i have had recently. the server didn't want to be bothered and didn't even ask why the majority of our food was still on our plates.

absolutely foul!. the wife & i went there & dropped $48, and no one even ordered alcohol! very, very overpriced! the queso tastes like a cheap version of "rotel dip" & i've had better guac at taco bell. mt wife's relleno was undercooked & the worst i have ever tasted. however, the chips & flan were to die for! go fiqure...

awesome food. i use to work in baton rouge and truly enjoyed this place. i would go and come out stuffed and almost to the point of sickness, but it was worth it. you cant go wrong with your choice of dishes or appetizers. i would personally recommend making this a stopping place on trips if you enjoy mexician food like i do.

it's ok. the only reason we went there is because they make their own tortillas which is really hard to find in b.r. for some reason. i usually end up making my own and doing real mexican at home which i probably should have done.however the service was really good. the food not so much.

i am a mexican junkie, and even i thought that this restaurant was disappointing. service was nothing special and the food came out within seconds of ordering, which suggests that it was pre-prepared and thrown in the oven to melt the cheese. not to mention the food tasted like they used poor ingredients to begin with.
