i figured it was about time i check out the wizarding world of harry potter at islands of adventure. more importantly in respect to this blog, i had lunch at the new three broomsticks restaurant within the park's new land. i'm not totally up on my harry potter trivia, but i suppose the three broomsticks is a restaurant in the village of hogsmead in the j.k. rowling books. three broomsticks served the same chicken/rib/turkey leg platters seen elsewhere in the parks, along with several british items. i ordered the shepard's pie, served with a side salad. the pie tasted good, although the vegetables normally found in shepard's pies, namely peas and carrots, were completely missing. pea soup was also ordered at our table. along with cornish pasties. these were like a british version of an empanada. also served with a salad, i preferred these to my shepard's pie. since this was a british restaurant, someone had to order the stereotypical english food and get the fish & chips. i tried a piec
