the yellow chilli

packaging very poor for how good the quality of food was. the mutton rogan josh we ordered came completely spilled and leaking everywhere. upon looking inside there was only mutton bone and few pieces of meat. hardly worth the 500+ rupees. also the goa prawn curry had only five pieces of prawn inside majority gravy.


the food was absolutely delicious otherwise, salad fresh as can be, chicken do pyaza more than enough meat. however, i don’t like when restaurants try to hide such little food inside 95% gravy like the customer won’t find out, it’s insulting to the eater. it’s too bad, we wanted to order again tomorrow as this is agreatfind and hits most marks but the quantity vs gravy ratio is not worth it. really good tasting food though, that is undeniable.

we went on a monday evening and the restaurant was occupied 30 percent . the cheif waiter was so tensed about crowd management at this level that he didn't even ask an order for us. in fact no one came until a while . i guess only one person takes the order . moving on to the food we had orderer butter naan , paneer makhanwala and lalla mussa dal. the butter naan lookedgreatwith dhania and i had the first one and it was crispy and very much to my liking but after having the first one, the others i felt i was munching up a chewgum. lalla mussa dal was unlike other dal and the same didn't give us any reason to have it with rice.
paneer makhanwala was good enough .
the serving time was also short . we also had masala cold drinks and gulab e gulkand. masala coldrinks were also good. gulab e gulkand is a gulab jamun flavoured with rose fragrance and water . i don't think one should try it . ek gulab jamun ka 140 is too high.

great experience visiting yellow chilli. the atmosphere isgreatwith view of sevoke road. the staff was very welcoming. food plating and presentation was superb. tastes yummy. worth paying a visit.

the yellow chilly is one of the finest fine dining restaurant in town.greatfood withgreatambience. i really like the options they have in menu. in this picture tomato cheese naan, bhuna gosht, lazeez murgh tikka masala.

my experience here was horribly wrong. had heard a lot about this place and hadgreatexpectations but they didn't stand it. we had ordered for babycorn garlic chili which was very chewy. then we had ordered veg biryani and they served us chicken biryani instead, which they changed later on. the service n the food quality both didn't stand up to their expectations

the staffs are friendly and they know about each and every menu and are ready to explain you the same.
quality and quantity of food is satisfying.
the price in the menu may be found little higher but you won't regret after having here!

starting with the ambience, it has a pretty ambience with yellow lightings and comfortable sofa.
the hospitality was super. staffs were polite and humble and always had a smiling face.
coming to food, there weregreatvarities doing justice to the different tastes we aspire. we ordered shaam savera which was a mix of spinach and paneer, where spinach being the shaam and paneer is savera. the presentation was really good and the taste was on a sweeter side but it was lip smacking. the pyaaji veggie was also palatable and spicy. the red daal was also good. for breads, we had garlic naan and tandoori roti which were also good.
they serve complimentary papad soon after we give our orders and at the end, they serve meetha paan as a freshner which you probably don't find in any other restaurants.
overall, its highly recommended.

we were visiting siliguri last week and our local friends took us to this place for dinner. very very nice ambiance.greatservice the food is extremely good. highly recommended.
