horrible food.. terrible. eaten there twice and they just can't get theirmealsright. the first time i had the caesar salad that was drowned in mayonnaise.
the next time i had a meal that had walnuts in it and their were rancid. you would hope they would check, but obviously not.

went to dinner there last night we were all crammed in couldn’t hardly move, most of themealsweren’t that nice. i had the steak sandwich and it was mostly bacon, bread was stale and steak was literally missing., everything just tasted burnt. plus $20 for a jug of coke is just crazy. won’t be back!!

very disappointing, we used to go here regularly for their salt and pepper squid, but it's like once they finished their refurbishments they just said ok we've spent enough let's save on the chef and get a new low budget one in! it all went south after that, we took our daughters there for tea, they love their full sized parmies,they got small parmies and overcooked, i had fatty, chewy steak which was supposed to be cooked medium, themealswere overpriced and the staff were really rude, needless to say we didn't finish ourmealswe stopped by maccas on the way home

great pub style food with a hint of class. ordered the pork belly and the gf chicken parma and themealswere great for the money. they serve a good selection of wines and beers to accompany the well structured menu. we were in the mood for a solid pub meal and it definitely hit the spot.

disgust. after 9 on our table ordered ourmealstogether, three (3) of us did not get our meal until after all others at our table had finished, so three quarters of an hour after the first meal arrived at our table.
we saw the manager, ( a young guy who tried in vain to help) where we asked for our money back. the owner, this woman was so rude trying to put the blame on everything or one including us, but could not accept the fault lied with her staff, not the diners who had come in to dine.
we were sorry for some other diners for the way in which this woman, ( possibly the licensee ) behaved. their answer like ours was, that they would not be back.
if you do attempt to dine there be aware that when all goes wrong, do not expect your money back, even when you do not get your meal.
after a lot of useless argueing from the owner? we eventually had money returned.
what a terrible night in geelong thanks to a really bad supposedly host.

terrible service - while we had a large table, we booked early to ensure we could get in and out soonish because it was my grandmother's birthday. ourmealstook 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive, and we were only told that they were arriving five minutes before they actually did. further, the food was in many instances cold, as if it had been sitting there for a while. we had to ask a couple of times to have our table cleared so that a cake could be brought out. no apologies or reason for delay was offered, nor was a discount offered for the long wait for what was ultimately pretty standard - and overpriced - pub food. given the overall quality of dining in geelong has improved so much over the past few years, 'the yardz' should consider improving their service.
