the wild olive

disappointed. have been a customer since they opened. pretty much the same menu since the beginning so we go less frequently.
went for our anniversary. i ordered the filet, medium. first time, it was still 90% raw. second time, 70% still raw. third time, burned outside, cut up like stew beef, dry as a bone. horrid. i ate one bite.
waitress, no one, seemed to care.
paid $30 for an inedible meal.

nobody would acknowledge me or make an eye contact with me at the hostess desk. they seem busy but it's still unacceptable, there was a total of 8 of us and i went in to check the waiting time. i left and nobody even noticed me.

found and dust particles and broom pieces in a red velvet cake i ordered to go as if someone forgot where the trash was...never again.

i haven't had anything i didn't like here. they provide bread with a dipping sauce at every meal. their food is made from scratch and is cooked perfectly. i typically go to their lunch service which is moderately priced. their dinners are more pricey, but you can't go anywhere in town like it. i had a steak sandwich for lunch last time and it was so tender, cooked perfectly. the staff is amazing and their desserts are out of this world. all made in house from scratch. i have to get one or three to go every time i go.

fantastic, attentive, friendly service & delicious, thoughtful dishes! our only complaint is that we don't live close enough to frequent this delightful establishment.

good fresh food. homebaked cakes. alternative music. location could be better. we will come back.

the pasta sauce is way too spicy. i like uncorked bistro better.

best steak ever. we started at uncorked bistro, but quickly realized our mistake and came to wild olive for our weekly date night. our server, bear (sp?), was fantastic. he was friendly and described each of the specials so well, i could almost visualize them in front of me. we each ordered a special. my entree was a sliced ribeye topped with caramelized onion served over bacon studded green beans with twice baked new potatoes. my husband had the snapper with a pineapple salsa served over peppered rice. delicious! hands down, that was the best steak i've ever eaten. it was perfectly served. my husband's meal was also fabulous. we traded bites back and forth, wondering whose meal was better. our date night was saved - we had a lovely evening. we can't wait for our next visit!

if you find the time, stop at the wild olive for a wonderful meal. the chefs here are doing a great job; this won't be a hidden gem for long... it was about now that i realize i didn't have a wine list. they don't actually offer wine, but you're welcome to bring in a bottle if you like. next time, we'll have to pregame this.

went for graduation dinner, waitress was great, food was great. everyone enjoyed thier food. ribeye was extremely delicious as was the filet my father had.

actually came for a business dinner. food was very good, service was very good.
as others have said there was a little bit of a wait before getting the food, but overall a very good experience.

delicious!!. enjoyed a fantastic dinner! most in our party ordered a ribeye special with hand cut seasoned potatoes and citrus asparagus. one ordered the shrimp and grits (5 sauteed jumbo, shrimp, cajun butter sauce, gouda cheese grits). one ordered the roman chicken tortellini (pan sauteed chicken breast prosciutto tri-colored five cheese tortelllni, mushrooms, spinach roasted red peppers creamy garlic butter sauce). delicious bread with garlic dipping sauce and fresh salads. desserts looked delicious but we were all too full to order. a little pricey for crestview, florida, but by far the best meal we've eaten in okaloosa county so it was worth it. everyone ate every bite on their plates!

office luncheon. about a month ago i said i would never eat wild olive again, however the owner of my company bought our lunch today and they bought 13 chicken sandwiches and 13 bowls of potato soup. when we got the order back to the office, we had 12 sandwiches and 12 bowls of soup. we call wild olive and a guy tells us he counted 13 bowls of soup himself, however when asked about the sandwiches, he said he didn't count the sandwiches. he insist that he made 13 bowls of soup and 13 sandwiches ... not even offering to replace the missing sandwich and soup because he knows he counted 13!! well about 11 people in our office counted them and we all counted 12!!

i can tell you ... our bill was probably close to $150.00, however i can tell you .. we will never order an office lunch from there ever again!!

service stinks but food is wonderful. food at the wild olive is superbe, however the staff is not as friendly. waiter charged my card for both my meal and my friends, he then voided my friends charge because he realized what he did and instead of telling me i found out a couple of days later after checking my bank account. the charge was pending for over a week!! called to complain to the owner and she was so rude .. she kept making excuses for her employee. all i wanted was for it to not happen to anyone else, i think he should have told me especially since he knew he messed up because he voided the charge and charged my friends card ... that is all i was upset about. however after the owners rudeness, i will never eat there again.

my wife and i are retired military and we've eaten in some of the finest restaurants but never expected to find . fine dining right here in crestview. yet here it is at the wild olive. limited menu, but the food is perfectly prepared and well worth a visit. once you've dined there you will return. that is a given. try the lunch specials and that will be enough to make you a dedicated regular.

great food and service! we always order their chicken tortellini and it's amazing every time. they also let you bring in your own wine and don't charge a corking fee. love the wild olive!
