the vj cafe & khichdi

iorderedsaath dhaan khichdi which didn't have any of the dhaan. it only had mung daal, rice and a lot of water none of which i m sure are falling into dhaan category. can not call it healthy option too as it had super extra amount of salt and spices.

please note that i had very good experience with this place so far but today it was waste of money.

my suggestion to the restaurant is that if you can not deliver what is ordered, please cancel the order or inform the person. please do not serve water and mung daal khichdi in the name of healthy saath dhaan khichdi.

the reason iorderedachari khichdi was the achari flavour, but that don't mean you'll literally mix up mixed pickle in a veg khichdi. the amount of salt in the dish was too much as the salt present in the pickle also added up. i wasn't able to have even 3 spoons. very bad experience due to achari khichadi. else every khichadi tastes good.

the khichdi was very sweet. didn't liked it but the shake my quite good. earlier iorderedwhite sauce pasta which was good. overall the service is nice.

ordered cheese maggie of which cheese was missing somewhere and when called to ask about it the answer i got was that they forgot to put on it and when asked to do something about it as iorderedit from zomato they said can u come and pick a khichdii up wow alsoordereda paneer wrap which was as spicy as anything don't know for what reason sorry but i won't recommend this 😤😤😤😤

afrer seeing good reviews, we went there. weorderedchilli cheese fries, veggie wrap & oreo milkshake.

nothing was good. fries were soaked in cheese & were absolutely loose & not crispy.
wrap quantity was too less compare to price they were charging

& worst was oreo shake. it was so thin that we can't even call them shake.

quirky and fun interiors, chill vibe, reasonable prices and amaze fries, twisters, wraps! the vj café, located at trivia complex can definitely be put under the hidden gems section of the city. just one visit, and you’ll become a fan.

visited the joint with a group of friends and weorderedquite a few things off the menu. we had the peri peri potato twister (thinly sliced potatoes served up on a stick with sauces; a must try), the chilli cheese fries (laden with sauces), the schezwan fries (served on a bed of spicy schezwan sauce), and the pizza fries (this was something different, fries served up pizza style with a big layer of cheese). next we had the popper wrap, made with potato and veggies filling and tangy sauces (a yum alternative to the frankies we regularly have), and these were accompanied by oreo shake, red velvet shake, and cold coffee.

the bubble bee café has collaborated with the vj café baroda and they serve something to satisfy both sweet tooth and savoury lovers at on place. from bubble bee we tasted the watermelon cooler and the joker (they are bubble teas with little pops of edible bubbles which dissolve in your mouth), the chocolate blunder and white chocolate fantasy (both waffles slathered with chocolate) and the rocky road which was the highlight of the evening (a bubble waffle served with scoops of ice cream and toppings; you are supposed to bite into the waflle and the ice cream together). it’s a nice joint to casually hang with friends or take your dates to which doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket and leaves your tummy full. also they are completely veg. hope you try it and like it as much as i did, or maybe more!

iorderedchilly cheese french fries and it was so delicious with chilli sauce and lots of cheese and fries was very fresh and well baked. i would like to order once and again and rate this place 5 ⭐️

then i tried ferrero milkshake, chili cheese fries
their new arrival tripple chocolate waffle must order before you leave the cafe

ordered two fries and three wraps from here. it was absolutely terrible. the fries were cold and had become difficult to chew. the wrap was very bland and even though i hadordereda "cheesy paneer wrap", there was no cheese in it. overall it was not worth those 150 rs.

to be fair, i've not been to this place. rather, i hadorderedfood for delivery. so please read this review with a bit of discretion.

when i order for delivery, i judge the place based on three aspects, the taste, the packaging and the portion size.

my order was a popper wrap and i was not disappointed in the taste. the taste was good.

what was absolutely a downer was the packaging. just a plain aluminum foil with a tape around it? you can't even eat out of it. what am i supposed to do? find a plate for it? it's a wrap! it's supposed to have a packaging that you can eat out of!

and then there was the size of the wrap. it got over in, like, 3 bites. it was not enough even as a late afternoon snack, let alone being a light lunch. you'd have to order at least two to feel it in your belly! and at the price i was charged, i'd be subjecting myself to a robbery...

clearly while they've hired the right chefs, the portion size, pricing and presentation require a lot of work. i can only hope that they'd improve so i can visit them and enjoy some of the other delicacies about which other reviewers have raved so much.

i hadorderedfrench fries with nachos and french fries were not fried properly, had to throw away half of the french fries coz they were not edible, quantity was less, really disappointed, wont risk ordering again from vj cafe.

iorderedpizza fries that everybody keeps recommending from this place. and it sucked. maybe not a good idea to get it home delivered or maybe it's just bad.

i am aware that i haveorderedhere at almost midnight and its your closing hour, but serving such horrible food isn't fair. i haveorderedyour best seller cheese chilli fries and moreover i am ordering for the first time. i will never recommend this cafe to anyone. where do i start with? the fries were not salted. the sauces were so overloaded that i never could taste anything except a smooth paste of red cheese. the fries were so soggy that not even its outer portion uncovered with sauce was crunchy. i hate wasting food but today was an exception. really disappointed with you guys. i am finding a way not even to give you this one star.
