this little boutique cake shop is a little slice of decadence. it is the place to go when your sweet tooth needs devotion!

walking in the door you are welcomed with a trendy, fun colourful shop with decadent cakes and treats waiting to be photographed.

they have an array of delectable cakes,cupcakesand cookies decorated with a touch of elegance...and glitter just for fun.

their signature cake is a 6 layered rainbow cake with cream cheese frosting spread layer upon layer. the cheesecake topped with caramel popcorn adds a new meaning to the word 'yummy'.

other than cakes and cupcakes, they also have quiches and muffins on offer and has the same wow factor as the cakes. the quiche is tasty and very creamy.

their slogan says "celebrate everyday"...now i can have my cake and eat it too!

ok, so i must admit, i’ve never been to the physical store, but i’ve had thecupcakesfrom the velvet cake co. on several occasions and every time they are an absolute delight. 
their red velvet and carrotcupcakesare amazing, but the sweetie pie cupcake is my new favourite. the topping is decadently rich, fluffy, not too sweet and has more than enough chocolate. the base is moist and chocolaty and it's the perfect less sweet accompaniment to the indulgent topping. nom, nom, nom!

i think i've finally visited this place enough to write a proper review on it! the velvet cake co... absolute cake heaven and a very dangerous place if you have a bit of a sweet tooth. get locked up in here overnight and they'll be rolling you out in the morning!

having heard so much about their amazing cakes and cupcakes, i decided to order a caramel cheesecake for a special occasion - a four course dinner that i was doing for christmas eve. yes, i know it's cheating, but who can beat a deliciously fresh, homemade cheesecake with generous frosting, decorated with cherries and glitter? and the best part was that it tasted just as good as it looked! i ordered the cake online relatively hassle free and it was ready for collection at the time i specified.

my second velvet cake co experience was a cupcake feast, featuring the likes of their famous red velvet cupcake, vanilla, chocolate and carrot cake cupcakes. to be honest, i was slightly underwhelmed by the red velvet one - expected so much from it, but it turned out to be a bit dry. however, the chocolate, vanilla and carrot cakecupcakesdefinitely made up for it! i loved the generous icing (one can never have too much icing!) and the lovely moist cake, literally fresh from the oven. the vanilla was filled with caramel, which was a huge treat for my dad who absolutely loves caramel! plus they were beautifully presented in the cutest little paper cups - perfect to stick a fork in and enjoy it like a mini cake.

moving on the the savory side of things, a special mention must go to their quiches, which, although quite rich, are very tasty! obviously sweet treats aren't their only speciality. my favorite is the bacon and mushroom (you just can't go wrong with bacon). i've also tried the chicken and pepperdew, which was also good, but a bit dry for my liking.

finally, today i had my first sit down coffee and cake at their cafe. i ordered a red cappuccino, which was brought to me promptly and tasted delicious. paired with a slice of coco channel chocolate cake... my life is complete now! i think i'll be dreaming about the cake tonight.

with so many deliciously sinful options to choose from, you just can't help returning to this fantastic gem of a bakery. it's the go-to place if you needcupcakesfor a party, a cake for a special occasion, or just a treat to bring home to the family. highly recommended!

they have the best, freshest cakes with a good variety and thecupcakesare to die for, coffee's good too. awesome service from management and team.

had the milk tart ,carrot and red velvetcupcakeslast night after iftar-to say it was bad would be an injustice but the milk tart began going off and that was the driest red valet i ever had i love the shop but this was a big let down from the branches in tygervalley. its my wife's birthday and i was going to buy various slices of cake for her to try out however after yesterday i don't think she would want any

honestly some of the tastiestcupcakesi've ever had! the red velvet with the icing is divine (and one of my all-time faves)! also tried the milktart which is a carrot cake with a milk tart flavored icing - yummy and a nice tribute to home! thecupcakesare rich and moist and very sweet.

we've always had great experiences at this place, theircupcakesare absolutely amazing and we'll worth the price! also ordered a cake from them for a birthday party and everyone was beyond impressed with the taste and quality. well done on such a great place!

the shop is cute and there is a range of cake andcupcakesyou can choose from already packaged.

we tried the rainbow cake which was absolutely delicious and fresh. service was friendly. love the cute packaging - easy to take away or for a gift. would definitely recommend if you in the mood for something sweet.

this place is like a mini heaven for all those sweet tooth’s.
i really like the milk tart cupcake, it’s not as sweet as the sweetpie one. well they all great some are just way to sweet for me. the espresso cups are my fav but i do find their items to be quite pricey for a normal day, 4cupcakesfor over r100 for myself yes but not even you buying for the entire gathering.

the best place forcupcakesand cakes. such an amazing velvety texture and sweet taste. there is a large variety that tempts you to buy all the various colorfulcupcakeson display. as much as i love this place, i can’t say my diet is too fond of it.

we boughtcupcakesto take as a gift to the family hosting us for dinner and it was the perfect choice. the velvet cake co. has a stellar reputation and are consistently delicious. the cake itself is moist and the icing is to die for. it’s abundant and smooth but not too sweet - definitely my favourite part.

i can't say that i've ever been disappointed in a cake from the velvet cake company as of yet - moist, tasty, delicious. some of the cakes are a tad too sweet for my liking and i could do with a little bit less frosting, although i understand that it adds to the look of the cakes and cupcakes. i wish theircupcakeswere a bit smaller as i find them difficult to finish, but it is by no means a deal breaker. i like the look of the shop - it's fun and quirky and what you'd expect of a little cake shop. they also offer some cake toppers which are a nice touch if you need something for a special occasion. the staff are generally friendly and helpful and the packaging is just adorable.

we were very dissapointed. this wasn't my first time at velvet cake co. it is always such a pleasure walking in this store and cakes always look so beautiful and delicious. velvet cake co. has lovely treats, however i was very dissapointed this time round. we ordered the lemon poppy cupcake and red velvet cream cheese cupcake. the cream cheese icing did not taste like cream cheese. all we could tatse was an overload of butter, on both cakes! butter icing can be great but this was not. obviously we expected a cream cheese icing on the red velvet cupcake and felt a bit decieved. if we knew it was going to be a butter icing we might have ordered something else. after digging into bothcupcakeswe regret buying them. ultimately this is not the type of response you want. overall the service was good and store presentation is cute. i love this store and hope to have a better experience next time!

i love office birthdays! it always means free cake! my colleague bought two cakes from velvet cake co. one being the rainbow cake and the other a carrot cake. both cakes were yummy. the rainbow cake, albeit sweet, was such a moist sponge cake - so so good! the carrot cake was good, but not my favourite, as i prefer traditional carrot cakes laced with spice and nuts.

update: another office birthday and this time we were treated to massive pink velvetcupcakeswith the most devilishly delicious cream cheese topping. yaaaaassss!!!!!
