this little boutique cake shop is a little slice of decadence. it is the place to go when your sweet tooth needs devotion!

walking in the door you are welcomed with a trendy, fun colourful shop with decadent cakes and treats waiting to be photographed.

they have an array of delectable cakes, cupcakes and cookies decorated with a touch of elegance...and glitter just for fun.

their signature cake is a 6 layered rainbow cake with cream cheese frosting spread layer upon layer. the cheesecake topped with caramel popcorn adds a new meaning to the word 'yummy'.

other than cakes and cupcakes, they also have quiches and muffins on offer and has the same wow factor as the cakes. the quiche is tasty and very creamy.

their slogan says "celebrate everyday"...now i can have my cake and eat it too!

ok, so i must admit, i’ve never been to the physical store, but i’ve had the cupcakes from the velvet cake co. on several occasions and every time they are an absolute delight. 
their red velvet and carrot cupcakes are amazing, but the sweetie pie cupcake is my new favourite. the topping is decadently rich, fluffy, not too sweet and has more than enough chocolate. the base is moist and chocolaty and it's the perfect less sweet accompaniment to the indulgent topping. nom, nom, nom!

i think i've finally visited this place enough to write a proper review on it! the velvet cake co... absolute cake heaven and a very dangerous place if you have a bit of a sweet tooth. get locked up in here overnight and they'll be rolling you out in the morning!

having heard so much about their amazing cakes and cupcakes, i decided to order a caramel cheesecake for a special occasion - a four course dinner that i was doing for christmas eve. yes, i know it's cheating, but who can beat a deliciously fresh, homemade cheesecake with generous frosting, decorated with cherries and glitter? and the best part was that it tasted just as good as it looked! i ordered the cake online relatively hassle free and it was ready for collection at the time i specified.

my second velvet cake co experience was a cupcake feast, featuring the likes of their famous red velvet cupcake, vanilla, chocolate and carrot cake cupcakes. to be honest, i was slightly underwhelmed by the red velvet one - expected so much from it, but it turned out to be a bit dry. however, the chocolate, vanilla and carrot cake cupcakes definitely made up for it! i loved the generous icing (one can never have too much icing!) and the lovely moist cake, literally fresh from the oven. the vanilla was filled with caramel, which was a huge treat for my dad who absolutely loves caramel! plus they were beautifully presented in the cutest little paper cups - perfect to stick a fork in and enjoy it like a mini cake.

moving on the the savory side of things, a special mention must go to their quiches, which, although quite rich, are very tasty! obviously sweet treats aren't their only speciality. my favorite is the bacon and mushroom (you just can't go wrong with bacon). i've also tried the chicken and pepperdew, which was also good, but a bit dry for my liking.

finally, today i had my first sit down coffee and cake at their cafe. i ordered a red cappuccino, which was brought to me promptly and tasted delicious. paired with a slice of coco channel chocolate cake... my life is complete now! i think i'll be dreaming about the cake tonight.

with so many deliciously sinful options to choose from, you just can't help returning to this fantastic gem of a bakery. it's the go-to place if you need cupcakes for a party, a cake for a special occasion, or just a treat to bring home to the family. highly recommended!

absolutely amazing cakes wow, so delicious and everything you could ever want in a cake! awesome, definitely go there and the shop is so cute too.

their service is terrible. zero customer loyalty. they always burn their coffee.


but the cake is so amazing you kinda just have to forgive them and get over it.

because as long as i leave there with some coco chanel, hummingbird or rainbow cheesecake - service doesn't really matter much.

as it was a friends birthday, and we wanted to make it abit more special, we made an impromptu stop for some cupcakes. he absolutely loves chocolate, so we opted for the sweetie pie and caramel cupcakes. they looked delicious on display and tasted even better. it is slightly on the expensive side, but the taste definitely makes up for that hole in your pocket. absolute winner!

quite the hidden gem. i've only come out this far once in the last 2 years we thought we'd stop by.

i bought two cupcakes, a vanilla caramel & a chocolate peanut butter which were both amazing.

i do prefer the setting of their loop street store, but this branch is equally as lovely

they have the best, freshest cakes with a good variety and the cupcakes are to die for, coffee's good too. awesome service from management and team.

best cakes you will ever have!! convenient ordering and paying online. quick and easy collections. best quality cakes! the cake is incredibly soft and the cakes look exactly the same as the pictures they use to advertise them. i've never been disappointed by velvet cake company

got surprised at work today wth a cake from velvet cake co. i honestly wasn't planning to eat cake but hearing everyone's comments resulted in me wanting some. once i took my first bite, i was in love. the cake's texture was perfect and so was the frosting. i am excited for my birthday because i know what cake i'm getting ;)

i would do unspeakable things to win a lifetime supply of their chocolate cupcakes. the word cupcake pales in comparison to what this moist, creamy chocolate baked good is. you may have to use a knife to cut it in two to eat in front of your co-workers with the tiniest amount of dignity and dexterity, but you actually dont care.

my favourite has to be the rainbow cake but a close runner up goes to the cult favourite, classic red velvet!

i love this concept and for me velvet and co is the place to go to get a cake, a cake that you would enjoy and so will your wallet. the rainbow cake that i had was really nice and beautifully baked but if you having a big slice it does become too sweet.

the cake is phenomenonal!! i battled to make a choice, eventually going for carrot and it was simply divine. to be honest, i could have just eaten the icing and been very happy - it's that good! my husband had the rainbow cake in a cup and he was so pleased. he doesn't usually eat cake but couldn't stop raving about this one!
