the troll pub under the bridge

i've eaten here twice. the beer cheese burger was decent but not good and the philly cheesesteak was meh. i do like the atmosphere in the bar area, if i wanted to grab a drink in the waterfront area. however, i will not be coming back for the food.

love this place! have been going since they opened and have never left disappointed! even had an area reserved for a university graduation party that was perfect! staff is always on their toes and food great. can be a bit pricey when concerts or sporting events are going on being next to yum. but still a great place!

decent food and an interesting atmosphere. although i think most come for the beer which also has a good list of options available. definitely a good after work meet up place to unwind and grab some grub.

best mac & cheese (anywhere). angry mac & cheese with a cold beer.
can't beat it.

decent. i ordered a meditteranian pizzza, which was delicious, and my boyfriend ordered a bowl of chili. my pizza was excellent while his chili seemed as if it had come from a can. like all they did was open of a can of hotdog chili and sprinkled a bit of cheddar cheese on it. the server also took a very long time to give us our check. other than that i really enjoyed the atmosphere.

cool concept, boring menu. i was really excited to try the troll pub. i had driven past it a few times and when a friend suggested we meet there for dinner/drinks, i was glad to try it.
the atmosphere is really cool. from the huge, castle looking door when you walk in, to the dim lights ...it's theme is apparent through the entire restaurant....except on the menu.
i did expect a pub menu, but something a little more interesting. the menu had way too many selections. i think narrowing them down and concentrating on making those items more intriguing would be better. i was thoroughly disappointed by the menu and the prices of the food. i know it's downtown, but 16 dollars for one bud light bottle, a club sandwich and chips that i could have made at home is a little ridiculous. i'll be back maybe for a drink (they're beer list was impressive) but i will eat elsewhere.

i walked down from my hotel which was several blocks away. it was dark but i felt very safe and never saw any problems around. i was by myself so i sat at the bar. it was a great bar atmosphere as the cubs were playing in the world series. i was in the mood for a good hamburger. the bartender took my beer order then my food order. he was nice and a good server. my hamburger was wonderful and fries were good too. service time was good even with a crowd.i will go again when i am in the area.

great food and micro brews for anyone looking to eat before concert or event downtown. the only negative is their beer specials aren't honored during these "special events", nonetheless the atmosphere and location are superb!

they have a really good deal lunch, combinations between salads, sandwiches, burger and soups. i order a half salad and half soup. the salad was good and the soup was really good. i will recommend.

great food for a pub, city prices on beer and cocktails. but the atmosphere is your basement hipster feel. casey, our bartender, was the focal point of the night. my guest is super picky with their drinks and he was patent with us and gave great suggestions. great location, a little difficult to find, but wonderful experience.

just went for drinks. the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. the waitstaff were friendly... beer was cold... hope to return soon for the food.

last year, my dad’s side of the family went to louisville in lieu of (ha! see what i did there?) having our christmas get together at home. we started our trip by having lunch at the troll pub under the bridge. there are a lot of trolls at the troll pub. they’re kind of like gnomes, only bigger and more intimidating (and the sworn enemies of gnomes ). i had my assistant for the day, my sister’s boyfriend cam, take my photo with the big troll, louie, before we went downstairs.

very good the beer cheese was awesome and the loaded fries are a must have! dining in the bookcase...yes i said book case is a neat add on to an already good meal!

we were greeted by an exuberant host and were promptly seated. great ambience & fantastic fare. reasonably priced. we recommend you check it out.

friendly service, and an interesting environment. i ordered the pub burger (medium-well) - white american cheese, shredded lettuce and tomato, served with fries; 1/4 lb. steak burger seared on a griddle and flash steamed with founders centenial ale on a fresh baked corn meal dusted bun. i also ordered a cup of the vegetable beef soup, which was delicious, except for all of that salt! 

a very solid burger and fries; however, in my opinion, sidebar at whiskey row (which is right around the corner, but more expensive) serves a better burger and fries.
