good...very good. had the steak frites and my partner had the fish of the day - grilled idaho trout with creamy faro & green almonds. it was damn good. everything was well seasoned and delicious. loved the arugula salad with the frites...the steak was cooked beautifully and had a good buttery texture to it...the frites weredeliciouswith the blue cheese butter and steak jus. my partner and i were both awed at the trout. it all came together exceptionally - the grilled flavor & crispy skin of the fish with the creamy (and well seasoned!) faro. quite amazing. i was really happy with my first experience here and was surprised at the value. you really get a lot in quality, flavor, and portion for what you pay here.

eat the farro...really, just do it!. superdeliciouswarm grain & veggie salad was amazing and had me asking the chef for the details; turns out they buy their farro from the very local bluebird grain farms. goal: buy some and try to emulate the recipe. i think perhaps a few more tastings are in order!

delicious meats. i came here to celebrate a birthday and had adeliciousfish taco entree while taking bites from four other plates (gotta love family.) the steak was juicy and flavorful, the lamb was moist and sweet, the tuna meaty and succulent, veal to perfection! the cook clearly knows how to prepare different meats with care and respect.

cool new place w/ good eats. saw a favorable review of tin table in the stranger and so thought i would try it out. we went on a sunday and the place was moderately filled with caphill hipsters. tin table has a great ambiance, keeping much of the feel of the old odd fellows hall but updated to give it a cool, contemporary look.

the wine list had good selections and the malbec i ordered was tasty. tin table has a good selection of cheeses and we ordered the cheese plate for an appitizer for $10.00. everything on the plate was yummy and the cheeses well paired with apples, honey walnuts and honey comb.

i ordered thai ribs and my partner ordered the burger and shoe string fries for entries. both were under $13.00. the food came quickly. the ribs weredelicious-- meaty, hot, spicy, and topped with cilantro. the burger, topped with bacon, was also a hit and the fries had a salty seasoning that made them extra tasty.

we ended our meal with a lemon pound cake and a french-press decaf coffee. the cake was the only dud of the night - too dry and heavy w/o enough tart lemon pop (though the coffee was excellent).

the other minor glitch was that our waitress was a little inattentive for my tastes. i felt that things could have moved along more quickly.

overall, we had a great meal and a great time at the tin table. i was suprised at how reasonable the prices seemed and we could easily have eaten well and spent a little less. we will definately go back.
