you'll miss it if you're not looking for it, but the food is completely amazing... so the next time you're in ghent, you need to start looking for this place. the greek lamb hoagie was refreshing and was covered with a sauce that was good enough to drink. the lamb was tender and juicy. i got a cobbsaladfor my daughter and she said it was awesome. definitely worth the trip from suffolk.

good. everything is not equally good. specials involving tortellini tend to be salty, heavy, and, well, personally, i would avoid. most of the soups have been good, the curry vegetable is really yummy. a recent potato soup was quite good, but a recent white bean and ham tasted like it was put together from a few cans of beans and broth. extremely salty and mediocre flavor. hummus is great. i like the salmon dinner. best potatosaladever. i'm not a fan of when they put goat cheese in mashed potatoes but that is just a preference thing, and their ordinary mashed potatoes are delicious. i've had a vegetarian chili that i thought was pretty mediocre but enormous--enough for four or five servings or more. melting additional cheese over it and adding salsa helped, and we did ultimately eat it all.

the ten top fills a much needed niche. a place to go and (relatively) quickly get real food. the place is small but there is almost always a place to sit if you want to eat in. or go home, set the table, and pretend like you cooked. one minor gripe about packaging. dinners are often served in flimsy clear plastic containers. we have had the food be so hot that it melted through the container. only once, but since then i turn the entire meal out of the packaging as soon as we get home. i hate styrofoam but it is more suited to hot foods. if there are more environmentally options out there--charge what is needed to cover any additional cost and use them.

go to meal: a soup (preferably one of the curried ones) with multi-grain baguette, side salad, and snickerdoodle. i almost always get two meals out of this.

always excellent. this is one of our favorite places to eat. the food is always fresh and yummy. you order at the counter but they bring the food out to you. there is a large vegan selection for those of you who like that. some of our favorites are the tuna melt (best i've ever had), the chicken spinach feta flatbread pizza and the spinachsaladwith goat cheese. you will not be disapponted. just a note it is near the naro in ghent but on a one way street going towards the naro so you will have to go around the block to park in front. and they deliver to those nearby including norfolk general hospital.

what's not to like?. everything i've had - with the exception of a single item - has been absolutely delicious, reasonably priced and in generous portions. the menu has a great selection of wraps, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, vegetarian items and more. the ingredients are almost always fresh. my favorites are the spinach and mushroom wrap, grilled veggie flatbread sandwich and the chicken, apple chutney and walnut wrap. the french bread that is served with soup and dinner entrees is crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, just perfect. as to my only disappointing meal, i found that the peanut noodles were greasy and bland. the eat-in area is small but pleasant, but expect your food to be served in a container or basket, not a plate, and you have to make do with plastic cutlery. it's a fantastic carry-out alternative to greasy, cheap fast food, though.

carry-out, foodie style. i love to order ten top when i need carryout but don't want cheap, greasy fast food. the pesto chicken with mozzarella is to die for, as are the french baguettes that come with the meal. mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful. i also recommend the chicken, walnut and apple chutney wrap. the side of pastasaladwas spot on. my coworkers always order the soups, which vary from day to day and are, i'm told, really good. everything i've had has been fresh and delicious. the dining area is small but decorated with retro, eclectic items and it's very casual. prices may seem a bit high for some items but the portion size and deliciousness are well worth it!

awesome greek lamb hoagie. a good friend took me here for lunch and it was incredible. the bread was a gourmet french roll with a delicious cucumber dressing. the side i chose was the potatosaladand it was full of flavor. i would truly recommend it without any hesitation.

excellent food and inexpensive too! we were a bit concerned at the sketchy outward look of this place before we walked in, but boy do they deliver on the food!! not a lot of space to sit inside and we didn't see any kids chairs (didn't ask either), so we took our food to go. watch out for the huge portions and be prepared to share with jealous friends ... my wrap came with a side of delicious potatosaladthat was so big it must have had three whole potatoes in it! my only critique was that the guy behind the counter seemed completely uninterested in helping us (took two phone calls while we were standing in front of him waiting). it did seem to be getting a little busy, so no harm done. we will certainly return!

looks like a dive but.... being a vegetarian can get pretty boring when eating out. i mean really, how many versions of a black bean burger can there be? how many boring lettuce wraps can one endure? then i stumbled on the ten top which is cleverly tucked beside a laundromat. in fact, until today i have never given it a glance because i thought it was the laundromat.
i had a small house salad, complete with homemade croutons. the lettuce was fresh and crisp and it was loaded with bright tasty tomato, red onion, cucumber, and carrot. such a difference from most house salads that give you one slice of tomato and cucumber and a wad of browning limp lettuce that you have to drown insaladdressing to be able to get it down.
i also had the spinach mushroom wrap. loaded with a generous helping of both the spinach and mushroom mixture, it filled me and kept me full for hours. spinach & mushrooms by their very nature are bland but the mushroom mixture at the ten top was full bodied and flavorful. i believe i will make the ten top my new haunt in ghent.
