during my five-day stay in avenue regent (about a month ago) in pallimukku, i had many meals in the springs. they had a decent spread for breakfast buffet – omelette served with grilled tomato and spinach, appams and stew, dosas, piping hot idlis, upma and variety of fruits and juices – were all top notch.

i alsohadlunchhere, which was equally delicious. i tried their stew with local red rice, a nice pepper chicken, squid fry and freshly fried poppodums. their mutton curry, alleppey fish curry and pork ribs were also cooked well. apart from the the kerala dishes, you also get to taste chinese and italian pasta along with steamed or grilled vegetables. one can also gorge on colourful and tempting desserts, if you are opting for buffet.

on friday's, the restaurant has a special seafood buffet, which i missed.

the springs is spread over a large area on the first floor of the hotel with planty of natural light and warm staff. the service here is impeccable and it is rare to find a restaurant like this in ernakulam city.

had thelunchbuffet from here years ago. the mutton soup was a joke (it was some curry with barely any mutton in it) and it probably was the beef salad that made me feel terrible after eating.

love this place ! it's amazing how we love a place that one prefer to go back there over and again!
excellent food. no doubt.
well maintained.
great ambience and lovely service !
mostly we visit the place duringlunchhours,
i'd prefer you all to opt for buffet if you do mind waiting for your ala carte for at least 30-45 minutes.
sea food is a highlight.
even if we opt for ala carte,
the food is delicious ! worth the wait!
buffet spread is delish and reasonable !
we opted forlunchbuffet during valentine's day. the whole dessert theme was aimed at the day, and it was so well presented.
few deserts were only pleasing to the eyes.
salad bar has some amazing salad and dressings ! love it !
all the main courses were great!
they were sweet enough to give us an extra starter instead of a dish that had pork in it. ( they gave us a choice between calamari prepared really spicy. it was yummy ! ) and some other dish which i can't recall.
definitely going back for more.

after looking through all the awesome reviews about this restaurant, i decided to check it out. went in for thelunchbuffet. the place is nice, great ambience. it was not much crowded despite being a sunday noon.

they served me chicken soup which was good. then i went for the main part, the main course. they had a wide platter. lots of dishes from kung pao chicken to beef and sausage pie to fried rice and a lot of other items too. a wide spreadlunchbuffet. being a meat lover i forgot to check the vegetarian section but i could see a lot of dishes over there too. large varieties of salads both veg&non veg.

now about the food. the food was nothing that great, considering from what the reviews said. it was just average. and i think the centre hotel, the one in panampilly has better food as i've been there for buffet 3-4 times. everything was just okay, nothing exceptionally great for me to point out. after that i entered into the desert section. it was a treat to the eye as well as the stomach. large variety of deserts. and all were exceptionally good. there was so much sugar rush that i had to stop for a while and continue later.

so overall it's just okay. i would recommend the centre hotel more than this! sorry about the poor clarity of the photos, the lighting was too poor!

this place was a revelation for me...had gone duringlunchtime with my colleague. there were hardly any people at that time maybe coz we were the first to arrive. we decided to try the buffet, the spread was lavish. the food was really good and not very expensive. the salad counter was the highlight, so many combinations to choose from 😊 i would really recommend this place for fellow zomatians

avenue hotel has the business traveller in mind and got the not so popular eating style down south called buffet an acceptable class. people in this part of the planet consider it not appropriate if one is not served food on the table let alone going and getting/choosing food from a selection. even if the food is not upto the mark a meal is considered a meal if all dishes are served in one go.(a la onam sadhya or a wedding feast). i was sceptical of the buffer for a long time at avenue, but they have got the right things in place which makes it tick in kochi. the app and which are ready made on some days are a treat to watch especially when they make it look like a flower. the beef dishes and pork salads add the variety along with lovely simple stews and fish curry. the buffet menu is not overdone. they do come up with themes on certain days with some special dishes on the buffet menu. it is vfm when considering the ambience and the setting. go for it if a decent buffetlunchor dinner is what you are looking for. have not tried their ala carte but.
