as reviews earlier state, i concur that this is the most reasonably priced dinner buffet in ernakulam. the buffet has a great deal of fusion attached to it. it always includes dishes from continental, traditional keralaite, north indian and south indian cuisines. the desserts and salads are spread out wide enough to everyone's liking. you also have the option to choose a drink of your liking and they even allow you to order for appams or porottas if you would want to substitute for something in the buffet and at no additional cost. the service is good and like a tapenyaki, you get to experience real-time dosas !! they are not five star but can give any five-star a run for their money !!

one of the best buffets in kochi..not overly priced..the biryani is always yummy..the buffet has everything from salads, soups, starters, main course,desserts..desserts are just awesome..its the best part of the buffet..lots of options in the dessert section maybe because they also run cocoa tree..the buffet is lot better than many five star hotels we visited in kochi..but it's a bit crowded and noisy during weekends..maybe they can make it a bit more spacious in future..

probably the best buffet in cochin. chef joshua takes personal care to ensure that the quality of food is amazing. it's amazing for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians alike. the deco is very old fashioned but tastefully done and the place is clean and we'll maintained. an excellent option for a big family dinner out or a quick business lunch.

dinner buffet at the springs, avenue regent happens often in our family...i wud rated 4.5 bt the kind of noisy crowd drops my ratings..staff is least bothered if the kids (guests) broke down the whole hotel into pieces..kids roam around tables as they are at home..
food..its always a standard stuff..never drops off the benchmark...last tym v went seafood festival which was disappointing..the only bad experience with avenue regent.. v almost sit for hours..talking,eating,talking...
prices are normal n u know its 4-star hotel....

avenue hotel has the business traveller in mind and got the not so popular eating style down south called buffet an acceptable class. people in this part of the planet consider it not appropriate if one is not served food on the table let alone going and getting/choosing food from a selection. even if the food is not upto the mark a meal is considered a meal if all dishes are served in one go.(a la onam sadhya or a wedding feast). i was sceptical of the buffer for a long time at avenue, but they have got the right things in place which makes it tick in kochi. the app and which are ready made on some days are a treat to watch especially when they make it look like a flower. the beef dishes and pork salads add the variety along with lovely simple stews and fish curry. the buffet menu is not overdone. they do come up with themes on certain days with some special dishes on the buffet menu. it is vfm when considering the ambience and the setting. go for it if a decent buffet lunch or dinner is what you are looking for. have not tried their ala carte but.

the first ever buffer i ever had was here. my dad took me and my brother to this place for something i had only heard till then. it was a great experience sitting on some really cool chairs, well laid out tables with a host of cutlery (some of which we wondered what people used it for) and really nice looking ambiance. back then i would given this place a 5/5 for experience i had.

now having eaten quite a lot of buffets, i would say this place offers a very good buffet. multiple options fill up the buffet with typical salads to starters and then the main course & desserts. overseeing mg road this is a fine place to eat dinner watching the busy roads around you. the food is a mix of traditional & continental. back then i used to stick to only traditional food. fish was especially good here. the only time i tried continental, it was just average. since i am not a big fan of continental food, i usually give the section a miss.

service is fine and the place is neat & tidy. they need to improve their spread to give the people a wow feeling. maybe concentrating on traditional kerala food is not a bad idea.

i love the buffet here. its more of formal dining. the food is good including there starters, main course which includes north indian, chinese and continental food(which can vary as per buffet menu) the best part are the dessert,as i am big fan of tat section i love there dessert. there buffet are better in there catergory of hotels and its correctly priced.

the avenue regent a popular hotel with travellers particularily sales people and mid level executives. the springs which is the buffet hall is a convenient place for a quick business lunch. the offerings are the common and traditional stuff you get in most similar hotels on mg road. stick to the traditional local stuff instead of experimenting on pastas or continental dishes which are very average---cold pasta is really unedible !!!you do get decent appams and stew besides a small selection od seafood, pork(quite tasty and good).the sweet dishes are the usual pastries and tarts and icecreams, with payasam(fairly good) and some local sweets.not really a place which is known for any exceptional dishes. service and ambience is decent and clean. give it a try .

one advice: go for the usual menu rather than the buffet if you want good food here. the buffet is mostly average with a few usual desserts. but their non buffet items are really good. especially the jumbo prawns dressed with bacon and their desserts.
the ambience here is great and the entire staff is extremely friendly.
