brunch at the sillygoosein downtown memphis. i went to the brunch at the sillygoosethis weekend and it was fabulous! there is the build your own bloody mary bar and the mimosa's along with the bruch bar. the brunch inlcudes both breakfast and lunch items for folks who have been 'up for hours' or for the folks who 'just became coherent'. this weekend there was fruit, bagels, cakes, mashed potatoes, macaroni, green beens, gumbo, eggs, sausage, bacon, bbq chicken legs, and of course, made to order waffles! there were a lot of folks about to leave for home from the liberty bowl, happy little grizzly fans, and regulars from around downtown. i really loved the assortment, the waffle was great!!! as i understand, they will start opening for lunch soon!

flatbrad and panini - potato soup!!! sillygoosehas the best in memphis. first of all, i love potato soup....we have contests to see who can cook it best. the sillygoosein downtown memphis makes the best potato soup in the city. it is their own recipe.
no matter what i order, it comes out perfect. it is to a point to where i just tell them to bring me what they want to....surprise me. it is all good. the flatbreads are light are flavorful, the panini sandwhiches always come out with the perfect blend of flavors.
the staff is great and i always have the best time when i visit. i don't make it their often enough, wish i could....maybe i should move to the downtown area. lots of great places to go in downtown and this is one of the best.
