absolutely wonderful. hands down the best indian food in washington. i've been eating here regularly for about 10 years now and you can't beat the food. favorites of mine are the saag paneer and butter chicken, but i've tasted most of the combinations available. thechaiis to die for so do yourself a favor and order that no matter what you eat. i also suggest the royal india delight appetizer plate if you have two people, it offers a variety of items to try.
the buffet is great, but do yourself a favor and go early, they open it at 11:00 and i usually try to get in before noon. fair warning, thechaigoes quickly and while they try and keep the carafe filled you may have to wait.
the staff is friendly and the new decor is beautiful. rashid, the owner, knows most of the regulars by name and often stops by tables to chat.
