the fried green tomatoes however (not pictured), where amazing. they were fried in cornmeal, with a side of pimento cheese, and topped with a chow chow. my recommendation is to skip the pickles and go for the tomatoes.

great service and great food. must have mac n cheese. everything was wonderful. must go.

southern comfort. my observations are just based on one weeknight dinner. with many of the area eating and drinking establishments often crowded and noisy, those seeking a more quiet atmosphere may find comfort here. the row offers diners with southern style food in a country/rustic atmosphere. large photos of a few of the legends well known to nashville and beyond are on walls behind large booths. my waitress was personable and helpful. while i enjoyed my grilled tilpia topped with a bbq style sauce, the sides of fried okra and snap greens & caramelized onions were a bit too "slathered" for my taste. beer drinkers may like the nice selection of both tennessee and southern microbrewery beers on tap. one of my favorites, sue (an american porter) by yazoo brewing is currently served here. overall, i would recommend to others who seek a restaurant serving basic southern-style comfort food.

fly in the food and poorly handled by management. hot in restaurant. had been there a few times prior and had a decent experience but won't be back anytime soon.

went for brunch. pleasantly surprised.
coffee is outstanding. loading sweet potato skins were outstanding. chicken and biscuits were great. brussel sprouts were great. mac n cheese was ok and meatloaf sandwhich was avg to above avg. we will be going back. friendly server too. also, they have white and red bbq sauce, which is a plus.

expensive, slow service, not tasty!. overpriced! small menu of items.the lighting is terrible, extremely bright. it also smells like particle board. my wife said the cheese grits in particular were terrible. apparently, the mac and cheese i ordered was made with a slice of american singles the service was slow, server mixed up our drink, food orders, and even our receipts. certainly won't be returning here!

the service! awesome. the food is so unique and the flavors are insane. man i couldn't be more pleased with this place. try it.

i think the kitchen is afraid of seasoning. the food isn't bad but it isn't wonderful either.
