being from the north east, discovering the 58 deli was like coming home! sandwiches as big as your head, you have to plan to split a sandwich with a friend or figure on bringing a cooler to take the other half with you for a second amazing meal the next day. the corned beef, the pastrami, it's the real deal (only no one knows what a bulkie roll is around here!). if you've ever been to the carnegie deli, you'll know what you can expect, complete with the best darn ny style cheesecake you've ever had in your life. there's a rotating case of dessert cakes with too many layers to count, cream soda, pickles and potato salad, and a matzoh ball soup so beautiful, it'll bring a tear to your eye. it's a small place so plan to get there a little ahead of the normal meal times, or plan on waiting...you'll have plenty of excellent company! so worth the wait! best delifoodwe've had in years, and the staff is attentive and patient as you make your way through pages of a menu that reads like a newspaper. go. you'll love it. and you'll be back!
