dissapointed. i'm visiting here in town and willie b's was recommended by many people so i went. i was impressed by the old building thinking is was going to get some good ole soul food, the pecan smoke smelled great as i walked up to the front door. i got the 3 meats combo..... theribswere hard and crunchy, brisket had no flaver and the sausage tasted like eckrich sausage you buy from walmart. the bbq sauce was watered down too...... the mac n cheese tasted like it was made with powdered cheese. disappointed :(

i will say this damn good brisket. has a great smojey taste to it. i like that they use oecan wood. the chicken and sausage were good as well. i will say this i thought i was just other time i had been there but the baby back porkribswere not good. each time i took one bite and set them down. never to be touched again. that did saddened me but everything else is great.

value high. artistry low. just order 1.5 rack of pork ribs, qt. pinto beans, baked potato, qt. potato salad & extra sauce @63 bucks. this was enough for 6 meals.

beans had talent, potato salad ala' supermarket, baked potato's huge and good enough, sauce was different yet thin and theribsseemed only basic in prep and presentation a solid c. was hoping for better but will find a happy reminder of this week tale out meal for the rest of the week as leftovers.

this is not the best bbq. if you think it is you must've never been outside the valley. i am from san antonio and was looking for a great bbq joint. i read some rave reviews only to be somewhat disappointed. the things that were very good were the sausage, beans, potato salad, and baked potato (no meat). the porkribswere the only outstanding item. the brisket is passable, not great. it is their sauce that destroys any flavor that once was there. it is really thin and sour. the chopped brisket sandwich was good, except the sauce. the chicken was really dry. the sweet tea is instant tea and they charge $2.50 plus $1.00 for refills. the lemonade tasted like leather. the worst item was the mac and cheese as it was watery and plain. i was excited when i got there as the setup is homely and the line was long, which is a good thing. however, it would be better if they had a thicker and richer sauce. i would eat her again, but not certain items.
