this is not the best bbq. if you think it is you must've never been outside the valley. i am from san antonio and was looking for a great bbq joint. i read some rave reviews only to be somewhat disappointed. the things that were very good were the sausage, beans, potato salad, and baked potato (no meat). the pork ribs were the only outstanding item. the brisket is passable, not great. it is their sauce that destroys any flavor that once was there. it is really thin and sour. the chopped brisket sandwich was good, except the sauce. the chicken was really dry. the sweet tea is instant tea and they charge $2.50 plus $1.00 for refills. the lemonade tasted like leather. the worst item was the mac and cheese as it was watery and plain. i was excited when i got there as the setup is homely and the line was long, which is a good thing. however, it would be better if they had a thicker and richer sauce. i would eat her again, but not certain items.
