i have loved the food and very much enjoyed the staff being as personal as they are. this is my "go-to" place since ages ago and want to commend the staff for being courteous and professional! i hope that, one day, i can wear a chubbys' t-shirt to help advertise my favorite neighborhood place to dine. yep, north wash & 84th ave.

phone is disconnected so you can't skip waiting around to get your wallet stolen by any of da homiez who are stoned and looking to prove street cred while they wait for their smothered fries. they really need a better system for clearing that lobby out until food is ready- something like a loud speaker to call numbers outside like grandmpas burger haven does. the staff is about as happy and helpful as the staff at the dmv. these guys could go mainstream and get even bigger if they just cleared out the riff raff and raised the customer service bar for their staff. oh, and they will mess up something on your order. every. single. time... no matter if you order 10 items or 1 item- something will be incorrect. food is good though, this place would become a juggernaut if they got some proper management in there

ok this spot looks sketchy so i'll tell you upfront but the food is good. so smoked half a l to see how hungry i'd get. the prices are reasonable and all so back to the tacos i got i'd say the chicken ones were cooked better than the steak tacos which got me upset but its life. the cheese chilli fries are too die for really on point so made me happy. trust me good reasonable food at a hole in the wall restaurant 😁😁!!

needs to get better though!. i've grown up eating chubby's food so i'm still giving it a thumbs up, as i am a loyal customer. however the last 3 times i've been there, the potatos in my egg and potato special have been raw, which is a for the whole thing. (kind of ike finding an egg shell in your food...) anyone that's grown up eating at chubby's knows that this is not what we're used to seeing, so i sure hope someone from chubby's reads all these posts and take them seriously. only people who care take the time to post their opinions, so chubby's, you need to take heart in these posts and move to improve. don't think you don't have to just because you have so many loyal customers keeping you a-float!

well worth the wait!. my fiance and i often come here sunday mornings for their breakfast burritos. there is sometimes a wait, but it is well worth it!

it depends on your expectations. i love this place. if you show up at lunch time, you're in for a wait. i usually think it's worth it - the green chile is to die for, along with their rellenos. show up before the lunch rush, and your experience will be much better :)

all of it. best chili cheese fries w/chicharons xtra hot in town. been going to chubby's since 1983.

horrible place. the worst service ever, very rude , honestly like a bunch of convicts working. no class the food is the greasiest garbage i've ever had. and the prices are outrageous. i was overcharged and after i tried calling them for an hour they will not answer their phones. stay away

yuk!!!!!. had a taco salad today. the meat was so salty i threw it away. it tasted like somebody dumped an entire pound of salt in it. was so gross!

never comig back. waited an hour & 15 minutes. the lady who rung me up said she's not charging me for the quesadilla because i waited for so long. just took a look at my credit card bill and they charged me almost double. my bill was $20 something, i was charge $55. so much for the free quesadilla. i called to report this and they don't know what to do but asked me who rung me up. good thing i keep my receipts.

food was mediocre (didn't help that i had to wait that long). crowded, no place to stand, no thanks.

great food horrible costumer service. i've been coming here for 15+ years over this past year the night crew is terrible i would know worked infront of this place for the past 2 years chubbys has been my go to! food is amazing but the people who work here are rude! called to make a phone order they hang up! come on now what kind of place hangs up on costumers beside that almost every single time i go in they are ignore you like hello! should i but a bell on your counter always on cell phones instead of helping people out not saying all employees are horrible some have been really nice but their has been some that straight need to be laid off!!!

poor service. i have been going to chubby's for quite a long time and am really disappointed in the service. just because you are not a high class restaurant does not mean you don't need to act classy. the people are not friendly at all unless you are an acquaintance with the help. i work two jobs and stop by for dinnner on my way the the next job downtown. sometimes it is busy and i just leave other times just a few people and i am in and out. but my experience yesterday really put me over the top on there bad service. a guy walked in talked a few minutes to the guy taking orders and then a burrito came up and he gave it to the fellow. he did not place an order but one magically appeared. i inquired about my order but was told my # had not been called ok waited a little longer asked again and my order was no where to be found. so my order was rushed and i did not pay. but i waited for alomost 20 minutes for my order that i believe walked out the door 10 minutes prior. just because of the people that come into the establishment are not high class does not mean that people need to be treated as low class. i do like their food but am sour at the service. just disappointed at how we treat our own people.

the best place ever. these people writing reviews are tripping. it is the best place ever. & everyone has a bad experience anywhere once in a while. but i guess, i never have with them. they have always served me well & i will forever love that place. maybe the gentrification in the area, is attracting the stuck up people. & they just always have something to complain about. its a business that has served denver for many years, they are obviously doing something right.

i can't believe this is the original chubbys. grandma would roll over in her grave.. ordered smothered mex hamburgers. got hamburger patty in a bun with green chile over the top. soggy hamburgers? i called to complain and was told to bring it back tomorrow for replacement. then i got a call from a "manager" who said if i didn't bring the crap back tonight i was "out of luck."

great service, right? i'm gonna drive 40 minutes round trip during dinner hour to return this awful food? really? they should come to my house, pick it up and offer an apology.

i'm done with chubbys. hey, it's only 40 years of business, i'm sure they can find another fool to buy their terrible food. good luck.
