friendly service and great open-air atmosphere. i got blackened shrimp tacos. they were okay, but the sides were mighty small. if you have a big appetite, i wouldn't recommend that on its own. i'd say the setting is what makes this place special.

great place for a cold one!. great atmosphere, good music, cold beer, and good food! food isn't spectacular, mostly fried, but it's good. the smoked tuna dip is wonderful but a lil pricey. love the views and great local music. fun place to meet up with friends!
we recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. fun time for all.

mediocre food. uninspired food. cocktail with very little alcohol. we go there because of the location and they are dog friendly.

my kinda place.... casual, laid-back, outside, fun, good food, and with live music! the skyline kings sounded great tonight. margaritas, salsa, and boiled shrimp were delicious!

why does this place have so many good reviews. we waited over an hour for sandwiches that were mediocre and overpriced. yes, it's on the water but with awful service throughout the restaurant and subpar food, there are so many better choices out there. we won't be back!!!

thanks to all patrons. this is "blue", a bartender at - the oar house. i have been with this establishment for over 5 years and love this place. our menu has been updated and is an improvement upon needs and requests given by all whom visit. we have also started up a late night happy hour, starting at 9:30pm, to all who get out late. another note: the food is great and the staff has drastically improved as time has gone by. the biggest thing to remember about the oar house is..."house" is in there for a reason. these people have been my family for years and have the largest hearts. they are willing to do all that they can to accommodate your needs. to all who come to our "house", welcome! look forward to seeing you and thanks to all our patrons and regulars!!!

great food. i just got home from dinner at the oar house which was my first visit. i had the special mahi and it was to die for enough said. the sunset is great also.

had the ahi tuna last night all i can say is they do it right.
the sauce they serve with the tuna makes your mouth water. the sunset and atmosphere makes you feel you are on vacation in the caribbean islands.

this place is awesome. great food, beautiful servers and an atmosphere that just wont quit. you need to come here if for no other reason than the knockout bar staff. great drinks and view, if you know what i mean!

great place right on the water. the steak is incredible! give it a shot.

dirty cajun fish and filet. i had the dirty cajun fish.. and my wife had the filet steak. everything was prepared great and tasted awesome. my wife said it was the best filet she had ever tasted.the service was good and atmosphere was not bad either. i also appreciated the quantities of food you get. the meal without alcohol was around $50 for 2 people. i feel like iwe tot our money's worth. we are definitely returning there again....also....you gotta get the gumbo...it is real spicy and tasty.

nice restaurant on the water. nice restaurant, right on the water. i went on a saturday night at about 9pm. there was only outdoor seating, but it looked like they could close the folding doors if the weather wasn't decent. we got to sit right by the water and there was a nice breeze.

there were a lot of options on the menu which included seafood, cajun, and american entrees. i had the new baja fish tacos. i was kind of surprised at how little food i got for how much they cost. there were two tortillas with a small piece of fish in them, two lime slices, and two different sauces. nothing else to go in the tacos. we also has the fisherman's platter with fish and shrimp. both entrees were very good.

the service was very good. it didn't seem to take too long to get our food. there was also live music. i would definitely eat here again if i come back to the area. for the two entrees, a beer, and a glass of water, we paid about $30.

amazing seafood, great view. this restaurant has a great atmosphere. the windows are all very open and it overlooks the water. the food is wonderful as well. the shrimp quesadillas are the best i've ever had! jezebel's grilled fish platter is excellent. prices are not too bad either.

chicken wings with a view. love to come here, eat wings and look out at the lovely view of the water. can't beat the ambiance in here. casual, no nonsense type place. great bar too.

this is by far the best seafood restaurant and i'm very picky eater! try the calamari and fried pickles awesome light fluffy crunchy batter! the etoufee fish sandwhich is to die far! wait staff very friendly! nice view of the waterway! elisa was our waitress and she's very prompt and courteous! 6 stars!
