much improved. i have gone to theoarhouse on several occasions over the past few years. i have to say todays visit was very surprising. their food and service has greatly improved. i used to only go on occasion when i really wanted to sit by the water and just watch the boats without going to the beach. now i will be going back, just because they are good. i sure hope it stays this way.

love this place. we are not quite regulars of theoarhouse . have never had anything but the best time , food and service here. i always recommend this place to anyone looking for seafood in pensacola.

my wife and i had lunch today at theoarhouse and what a great time it was. the service we received, our server was geoff, was excellent. he was there to take care of all our requests.

we chose the fried onion rings as an appetizer served with theiroarsauce. the appetizer arrived to the table hot and crispy. the onion rings are prepared with panko flakes and fried to a nice golden crisp.

the shrimp po-boys arrived piled high and over flowing the french bread that it was served on. we made the choice to eat half the shrimp with theiroarsauce and then enjoy the remaining ones on the po-boy.

this was a great experience that we will soon enjoy repeating. thank you geoff and the rest of the crew at theoarhouse for great service & food.

after reading an ad in one of the tourist magazines, we decided to try theoarhouse. went for happy hour, but was not so "happy". had to wait 15 minutes after i ordered just for a beer. it wasn't like the place was busy. i think there all if seven people there. the waitresses were far to busy chitchat ting, flirting with someone at the bar, to be bothered to wait on the rest of us. we, then had to chase a waitress down to get a second beer. we were going to order dinner, but decided against it. can't imagine how long we would have to wait for that. will never go back. too bad! it's a nice place on the water.

crisis management. theoarhouse was recommended to us by a local. we were excited about the setting; quaint, waterside, etc. the waitresses had too many tables. our waitress did the best she could, but was clearly over-extended. it became obvious that she had no support from the kitchen or the bar, as it took a ridiculous amount of time to get our drinks and dinner. moreover, they were out of fries and had no chips or anything else for that matter as an option. our waitress did the best she could, again, with no support from the kitchen, bar or management, left to diffuse the situation as best she could. she gets an a+ for crisis management and has a bright future in a place where she is appreciated. the irony in this is that when our food did finally arrive, it was very tasty.

out of season. i haven't been to theoarhouse in quite a while and decided to stop by for lunch since we were in the area. my friend had the chicken quesadilla and it was pretty well prepared. though i don't see it on the menu now and i've looked, i had the crab cake and shrimp and the price was $12.99 (i only list the price to help you in better finding the dish i had), it came with steamed rice and mixed vegetables. it was ok except for the rice, it was clumped, warm and overcooked. if they use a rice cooker, and i assume they do, you know when you serve the rice from the cooker if it's still good enough to serve or not and whoever dished the rice onto the plate shouldn't have sent the meal out.
i've eaten here quite a few times and this is the first time i've been disappointed. i would also stay away from their fish tacos if you're accustomed to west coast fish tacos, but would definitely recommend the seared tuna sandwich. enjoy.

thanks to all patrons. this is "blue", a bartender at - theoarhouse. i have been with this establishment for over 5 years and love this place. our menu has been updated and is an improvement upon needs and requests given by all whom visit. we have also started up a late night happy hour, starting at 9:30pm, to all who get out late. another note: the food is great and the staff has drastically improved as time has gone by. the biggest thing to remember about theoarhouse is..."house" is in there for a reason. these people have been my family for years and have the largest hearts. they are willing to do all that they can to accommodate your needs. to all who come to our "house", welcome! look forward to seeing you and thanks to all our patrons and regulars!!!

great food. i just got home from dinner at theoarhouse which was my first visit. i had the special mahi and it was to die for enough said. the sunset is great also.

on my no go list. i have many friends that told me i had to try theoarhouse. we have been on four separate occasions and were disappointed every time. the atmosphere is great but if you are looking for good service, great food at a good price this is not the place to go. on all four occasions the kitchen was horribly slow and some food came out hot and the rest cold or just warm after waiting an extremely long time. servers were either great or bad. i really hate this because it is a fun location but i refuse to pay that much for food that isn't great. ( i would like to note that after every bad experiance i filled out the comment card and was never contacted about the experiance. to me that shows managment that is not out to make customers happy.)

great atmosphere, fun bar experience!. theoarhouse is a great setting for bayside boozing. the food is just average, but with the view you'll hardly notice.
