although this place is situated in a fantastic location overlooking auckland's waitemata harbour, unfortunately in my first time coming here i did not have a great experience. the service and thefoodwas not up to scratch, and i fear this place gets packed as there really aren't any other options for a bottomless brunch.lula's inn does gather a lot of attention and is often extremely busy as it has a great location and offers a very reasonable price for bottomless brunch. the inside is nice and simple with a seaside feel which definitely compliments the awesome view.however, the view and the aesthetic of the place remain the best things here. the service in my first experience was not the best. firstly the waitress that we had did not seem confident in pouring and would often compile all of our plastic wine glasses at the end of the table and pour them in one lot taking a long time as there was a large layer of foam each time... which at one point took her 15 minutes to pour for 10 people. another issue that we had with the service was a rather major one we thought in the grand scheme of a bottomless brunch. we were left with only drinks for most of the 2 hours, and with around 15 minutes left thefoodcomes out. i really do feel that thefoodshould be coming out as soon as possible, especially when there is that much alcohol involved. the staff also seemed annoyed when we asked how long thefoodwould be which was rather disappointing. once thefooddid finally arrive, it was unfortunately not the greatest. my partner got the pannacotta which was not set, making it not the best. i got the mince on toast and the bread was completely sodden. this was all very disappointing after waiting such a long time as well. unfortunately across the table there were other issues as well, not just our dishes.although reasonably priced the whole experience did not seem worth the money. unfortunately thefoodwas not up to a good enough standard and the service was definitely lacking. i personally don't have any desire to go back.
