good sandwiches, but.... first, columnist dave barry would say that the campus grille owes tax on the unnecessary and incorrect "e" at the end of its name. a grill is for cooking; a grille is found on the front of an automobile.
the campus grill has lots of great sandwiches and burgers, and is a pleasant place to sit and write a review if you use the free wi-fi. the south street is like a cheesesteak on steroids, and the burgers are agoodoption too.
however, the service varies widely, depending who is behind the counter. today i got the same employee i had a few weeks ago. she knew nothing about the menu then, and hasn't learned anything since. many of the sandwiches have descriptions posted. however, not all of them do, and when i needed information to order today i had to push her even to ask somebody what goes on a california burger. my meal arrived without the drink, and when i asked she said i hadn't ordered one. i had; she just didn't get the order right.
and finally, if you're american and eat ketchup on anything, goodluck getting a condiment cup. i asked, and she held tightly onto the stack so i could get only one very small paper container. i made four (4) trips to the ketchup nozzle as a result.
do yourself a favor, take the food home and use your own condiments. and check your order before you leave.
