the green edge

this cafe was is a great place for brekky and lunch and has a great atmosphere to it. staff were really friendly and it was quite busy when i got there.
there is a nice amount of seating inside and outside depending on what you like.
my food came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was which was great. they definitely don’t shy away from large portions so you won’t be disappointed by size when you order from here.
i ordered the jackfruitburgerand it was packed with pulled jackfruit and other yummy ingredients.
was deceivingly filling but tasty.
afterwards i ordered a choc chip cookie on the way out and it was the best cookie i have ever had. if you like soft cookies (sort of like subway cookies) you will love this. was so yummy, not too sweet and but soft and delicious. going to have to go back and grab another.
there is a shop within the cafe which has a great range of health food options and gadgets too.
highly recommend this place because they have an option for everyone and the food looks and tastes great.

i had the jackfruitburgerand my friend had the epicburgerboth were delicious! we were amazed by the flavours that were in them! the chips are super tasty too! the chocolate milk shake was also very yummy! 10/10 would recommend! it can be hard to find a place that has good vegan food and these guys have nailed it!

went here for a late weekend lunch. we ordered the matchaburgerwith a side of fries, jackfruit burger, aero frappe and bounty frappe.

the burgers were very good - nice flavours and textures. the fries were handcut, crispy and seasoned well. the bounty frappe was delicious - a good balance between coconut and chocolate. the mint flavouring in the aero frappe was a little sweet and 'artificial' for my liking.

service was efficient and friendly - we were served iced water as soon as we sat down. the portions were very reasonable as were the prices. ambience was casual - part-cafe and part-store selling various vegan foods and products.
my partner and i also enjoyed going through the trivia pursuit cards whilst we were waiting for our food to arrive.

overall, a good vegan cafe.

we ate the today we had a really enjoyable time, i had the epicburger🍔 with hand cut chips! delicious all of us enjoyed everything.
will definitely return when back in the area.

what a fantastic experience i had at the green edge! i have recently learned that i am lactose intolerant and i am really struggling to find places to eat that have a dairy-free options, so discovering the green edge is a godsend to me :-)i was served within a moment of sitting down by an extremely polite, sweet staff member and i ordered the choc mint aero frappe and the mushroomburgerwith fries. my meal was served in less than 10 minutes and it was divine! the fries were yum, soft and fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside and the burger........delish! afterwards i browsed the grocery aisles and saw many dairy-alternatives that i had never seen before. overall it was a terrific experience and i will be back again :-)

my vegan friend keeps raving about this place so my friend and i (both non-vegan) decided to check this place out after flying back from sydney. upon walking in, you find the store is a very relaxed layout, with shelves of vegan snacks and goodies on the right and tables on the back left. we were quickly seated and given water and menus. after ordering, we got up to wander around the shelves and bookmark what snacks we wanted to buy after dinner. food arrived soon after we sat back down. 
we ordered the jackfruitburgerwith added chips ($15+$2) and nachos with guac. the sauces in the jackfruitburgerwere the perfect harmony and it was utterly delicious!!!!!!!! i found the bun not well paired to the succulent fillings, and would love to see a softer bun (maybe like vurger's?) next time. nachos were great also (the cheeze holyyy) and portion was so big my friend couldn't finish. 
service was incredibly friendly, we got some vegan treats for dessert and i bought some vegan yoghurt and tofurky (amazing btw). can't wait to go back !!!

had order mix ups twice: once with the drinks, and second time they tried to give us fries and salad instead of a burger, but they were jovial with admitting their mistakes so it's all good.

aztec burger, gluten free option: rly disappointed to find their gluten free option wasn't actually gfburgerbuns but just two slices of gf bread :"( bread got hella soggy after a few mins of trying to eat it so it wasn't a very fun experience. despite this, the mexican bean patty with the daiya cheese was a really delicious combo and fulfilling, esp in conjunction with their ferrero rocher frappe (+ soy whip)

satay tofu burger: tasty. tofu texture is nice and expectedly has 0 taste but the outside coating in conjunction with the rest of theburgeris good

jackfruit burger: the bbq sauce overwhelmed the jackfruit to the point where it was just the taste of bbq sauce and couldn't taste the jackfruit :/ everything else was fine tho

frappes: strawberry, ferrero rocher & bounty. drinks were made well and imo ferrero rocher was the nicest (since i do love chocolate...). strawberry tasted super artificial :( could've mixed/blended the ice better because i still had a few 1-2cm large ice chunks at the bottom of mine :/ the straw, even tho enviro friendly and all, actually adds a rly disgusting taste to the drink :(

anyway, food was good and fulfilling but marks deducted for clumsy servicing, expensiveness for the portion sizes etc. would come again if i ever have a craving for vegan food...

my wife and i perused the supermarket aisles with no intention of eating, however the delicious smells and scrumptious offerings were too good to pass up. we ordered our food to go, however we couldn't help ourselves and ate right there and then. i had the satay tofuburgerwhich i devoured swiftly as it was super yummy i followed this up with a bounty slice which was so soft and tasted amazing. my wife had the vanilla slice which she said was great.

i ordered a strawberries and cream cakenut (to die for!!), a chocolate galaxy cakenut, a croissant and an epic veganburger- all lovely. they also have an excellent selection of vegan groceries including items i've never seen before. would come again.

oh my lanta! such a great pick / find! especially for all your wonderful vegans / vegetarians and peeps with intolerances, this place is right up your alley!

freshly squeezed juice and delish food, how can you go wrong? creamy mushroom and leek risotto for me, meatless meatballs and spaghetti for the other half and aztecburgerfor our special guest. my risotto was amazing. i could smell my food before it even hit the table. for $15, the portion was huge and i was not complaining one bit! it was creamy and delish - the risotto cooked perfectly and it was rich without making me feel nauseous or heavy. it was so perfectly seasoned - of every meal i have had and reviewed, this is by far the most perfectly seasoned dish. the leek was slightly sweet and the mushrooms earthy. i savoured every bite of this risotto!

my juice - oh my juice! tropical juice - orange, pineapple, apple and mint. so refreshing and the fruit beautifully sweet. this juice was so good that i ordered 2!

the staff are lovely and friendly, price is excellent, location is great and easy to find and it's a two in one - cafe and grocer! hell yeah we are going back - next time, it will be for brekky!

mmmm a good place for lunch. thoroughly enjoyed my "pulled pork"burger(made with bbq'd jackfruit). fresh ingredients and a nice ambience to the cafe. bit on the pricey side.

4 days later and i am still dreaming of the phenoneman chocolate and  hazulnut frappe i had on saturday!

oh anything to be enjoying that deliciousness again!

the green edge is a favourite of ours and never ceases to make us feel welcome and relaxed. the staff here are lovely and the food is epically tasty. try the aztecburgeror marinated veggie on turkish, they will both knock your socks off. 

fantastic array of vegan food, cosmetics, pet goods and other misc. give this place a try,  you cannot regret it.

live vegan and prosper!

nice little area to stop in for a lunch. visited for the first time today with my partner, she got the mushroom fettuccine which was ok, wasn't bursting with flavour and it was kind of drowning in watered down sauce but overall it was pretty tasty. i got the vege-burger which was nice but the patty and avocado were both so soft i ended up with most of theburgeron my hands and face, again the flavour was still pretty good.
i'd go again to try other food.

i don't know why this place is a 3.9 rating!!! i'm shocked... i had the seitanburgerand my friend had the nachos,the seitanburgerwas full of flavour it was not overly heavy, it has a mild spice which i loved, my friend said that the taste was so devine, how ever i think u should share the nachos as it's very big...

simply awesome. this place must be one of brisbanes best kept secrets. went there for lunch initially and ended going back several times! top tip - for lunch try the vegburgerand milkshake. for brekkie try a smoothie with avo on toast or pancakes mmmmmhhhhh :) the coffee is great too... didn't realise vegan food was so scrumptious...
