tried their weekend bottomless yumcha and to be honest, the dishes were pretty average. it’s $69pp where you can order unlimited yumcha dishes but i feel like you pay for more of the view and aesthetics.

their set menu included pacific oyster with soy and ginger dressing (cannot be reordered), hot and sour soup, pork xlb, steamed pork and chive dumplings, jade prawn dumplings, shallot pancakes, vegetable dumplings, sichuan style prawn and pork wontons with chilli and sesame, crystal prawn dumplings, steamed pork and prawn siumai, spring rolls with king brown mushrooms, bbq pork puff with almond topping, roasted cantonese style duck pancakes, char siu steamed bun, soy wok-fried noodle, seasonal steamed vegetable with oyster sauce, salt and pepper calamari, salt and pepper softshellcrab (can not be reordered) and steamed salted egg yolk bun for dessert.

my favourites were the bbq pork puff, softshellcrab and calamari and the dessert. the pork puff was super crunchy on the top from the almond topping and slightly sweet as well. the softshellcrab was nice and juicy, the calamari was crispy. and the salted egg yolk filling is so delicious and the bun was so soft.

but the flavours of the other dumplings were pretty average to be honest. some of them were quite bland, and didn’t have much kick or flavour to it. and it felt like this yumcha experience was quite pricey compared to the quality of food received.

the staff were very friendly and accommodating though, and the ambience was lovely!

how much stomach room do you have for a yum cha lunch?
i say... come with an empty stomach!
only opened on the weekend, situated in the chinese garden near darling harbour.
the weekend yum cha is all you can eat for $69 p/head, and well worth it. it’s a 19 course with one dessert, being a salted duck egg custard bun. i have to admit, i was waaaaay too full to try that one.
you could order repeats, all except oysters and their softshellcrab.
the staff and service were attentive. it also has great scenery for your dining experience. this place would be great for a large group or a big eater!
perhaps, i’d be crazy enough to return and attempt another round of bottomless dumplings.
