the flying saucer draught emporium

pretty cool place to go. it was a bit intimidating the first couple times i went. it seemed like everybody, staff and customers, knew each other. i felt like an outsider. i guess i continued to go back because i thought the "cheers" like atmosphere was a good thing. sure enough, only after a few visits servers were calling me by name and i had met some interesting bar customers. overall it's a nice place to grab a few beers after work. the selection of beer is great, the servers are very friendly, most are in college and intelligent, and while they wear a mini skirt it is paired with a chill saucer logo t-shirt.... far from skanky. and considering it is a bar, the food is ok too- but honestly who goes to a bar to get amazing food.

great beer collection, and cool place to hangout! feels lively. you can have your plate of honor hung up for every 200-250 beers you drink. a place where our profs reward our lab cleaning efforts ;)

went for the first time last night. don't know why there are negative comments. everything was terrific, prices were very reasonable, food quality was way above typical bar fare, beer was not expensive, and our server bailey was fantastic. crowd skews younger but why wouldn't it when you're located across from uncc?

this is a cool place! we stopped in here after going to another store in the same shopping center. my buddy dave and i popped in here for a pint while his wife went to another store.

the place has a great design with saucers all over the ceiling. each has a name however i didn't bother to ask about them. we ordered our drinks and and took a look around. the ceiling and and is very dark inside and there are several large mirrors on the walls. also if you go to the back and and around the corner there's a large back dining area. the first thing that came to mind was "this would a great place for a mob hit! i need to sit back here!".

while we were enjoying our beers i took a look over the menu. there's a lot of cool looking dishes on here, and some i would say are eclectic. i wish we could have stayed to eat, definitely next time.

last but not least, service was great. i didn't catch our bartenders name but she was super friendly and helpful and definitely a credit to the place. kudos!

wide variety of beer. best days to come are sundays or mondays. the food is okay. you can't go wrong with the rocket tots or the wings. great place to relax and good beer.

as with all flying saucers a fantastic beer selection! the pub grub here is really good as well, i'm a big fan of their burgers and pretzels. also the serves here has consistently been great.

food is plain, boring, and lacks anything to make you wanna take another bite.

i go there to drink, and i avoid the food.

awesome. the flying saucer is my favorite place to go after work to get a drink and meal. they have so many awesome things on the menu you don't see anywhere else. i really like the lauren's goat cheese salad. also the beer selection is huge and awesome. they carry seasonal thing and add new stuff every week. great choice if you what you are looking for is a laid back atosphere, awesome beer, and great food!

cool beer selection, greasy food, unfortunately skanky server outfits. i realize a lot of guys like the sleaze factor of this joint, but it's gross.

nothing special..a little dull. i organized a gathering of about 8 friends here last night and was quite disappointed. we were told to set up our table in the back room around the corner. the hostess didn't even help me put the tables together. the food was ok, nothing special. the german potato salad was great but the rest was just average. the back room they tucked us in had no atmosphere unlike the front area where the bar is located. i don't think i would return unless i was in a smaller group and had nothing else to do.

great everything. stopped in after i turned 21 to try out some new beers. picked the right place. the bartender was amazing and let me sample a few different things and suggested a few things. i picked a beer that was almost like chocolate. delicious! had a blast awesome interior! our bartender even gave us a history lesson on the plates lining the wall! had a blast can't wait to go back!
