decent food, good atmosphere. friends took me here for brunch on a trip to charlotte. there was a 20 minute wait for a table, which wasn't bad. i ordered the turkey hash, with turkey pot roast two eggs over medium, cheddar cheese and rosemary potatoes. the turkey wasn't mixed in with the potatoes, the way i usually picture corned beef hash, but was instead piled on top of the potatoes, then topped with the eggs and cheese. not necessarily bad, just a different presentation. i'm not sure if it was the turkey or the potatoes, but the seasoning was overpowering - not sure if it was the salt or the rosemary, but the more i ate, the more i became unable to continue. i actually left more than half the potatoes, something i never do, because the seasoning was too much. i had to steal my daughter's apple juice to rinse the taste, and three hours later i was dying of thirst.
my daughter had the oatmeal pancake and turkey bacon. the bacon was a bit too crisp, but entirely edible. the oatmeal pancake was thick, and seemed a tad bit underdone, but my daughter seemed to enjoy it.
thebiscuitswere huge and lightly dusted with sugar, just enough for a hint of sweetness with out tasting like a dessert biscuit. the apple butter available on the table was yummy.
