just okay. i had the biscuits & gravy with eggs. my son had the eggs, biscuit, turkey bacon combo. nothing great. gravy wasn't good. biscuits were good, but not the greatest. there was nothing wrong with it, just very blah. won't return.

cozy location, cozy food. can't go wrong with the flying biscuit. i have tried numerous locations and loved every one. this particular location feels quaint and i even spotted recording artist mya here once - before she went on dancing with the stars. staff is friendly and food is delicious. can't go wrong with any breakfast item on the menu. check it out! cute little shops surround it as well.

not just for breakfast!. wonderful and creative options for all meal times. seating is a bit tight at this location, but some would consider it very cozy. the new location off of providence has more room, but not a lot of drink specials...yet.

breakfast was really good. the atmosphere was cute and kitschy. i had the daily special which was an egg scramble with gruyere cheese, chunks of ham, and spinach, a side of moon dusted home fries, and a biscuit. it was incredibly delicious. my husband had the flying biscuit breakfast, which is essentially a standard plate of eggs, bacon, cheese grits, and a biscuit, all of which he really enjoyed. my mother-in-law ordered the healthiest scramble on the plate, and while i didnt have a taste, it looked pretty good. the biscuits are shaped funny and look undercooked, but looks are deceiving because they are cooked perfectly and soo good. i think the grits are a lot better than the moon dust potatoes; the rosemary really overwhelmed the potatoes. the pricing is just about right since you get a good portion of food. i would recommend this place to anyone.

wow, gotta be 10 years since i've been here.... i have to admit that i haven't had a lot of luck at the franchise locations, but i decided to head back and try the original after so many years.
i grabbed the egg special (3 eggs, onions, sundried tomatoes, roasted chicken, and goat cheese) and really enjoyed it. it came with some creamy grits and a biscuit w/ apple butter that hit the spot. can honestly say that i've never been a fan of the biscuits themselves (i like them flaky and not simply "big"), but they certainly are not bad. all in all, i still like the original location because of the casual and quirky nature of it (as long as you get there before the brunch stampede, that is) and should really stop in more often because service has always been good and the folks have always been friendly. i have to remember that they've also opened up a counter for coffee and carryout bakery items.

good food, good prices, and always consistent. my wife and i enjoyed lunch there. the bad thing about the place is that it's hard to choose from all the good things they have.

this place was such a disappointment! one of the people in my group raved about the restaurant back in her hometown in florida. turns out the evans, ga location is absolutely nothing like the rest of the chain! we waited outside the restaurant for a half hour. then, we had to wait even longer for our food. seemed like the waitress forgot about our order altogether. the name implies there should be biscuits in the restaurant. nope! no biscuits! no rolls, either. the customer service was shoddy. everyone's meal came out at a different time! the waitress said one of our meals was dropped on the floor and had to be completely redone. it was closer to an hour before my friend actually got her meal! mine had a nasty hair in it which sure didn't come from my head, as it was underneath the food. when i brought this to the attention of the waitress, she went and got the manager. he was completely useless. he said the cook in the kitchen needed to see it. seriously?! he left with the plate and never returned! nothing was taken off our bill. not a damn cent! i will never eat here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone! spare yourself and eat somewhere else- anywhere else!!

the food is good, but the service ranges from sweet to sour. on our last visit we were first treated as if we were invisible, then as an inconvenience in their personal life. it was enough to spoil my appetite. not worth taking a chance on again--we won't be back.

the zomato review asked me to post politely because zomato is a “place of love”. not sure why they even have a listing for this place. this franchise has a new racist owner.

no more #flyingbiscuit for me:--the owner of this restaurant not only made a donation to a verbally proud racist gop candidates for governor--they even have the audacity to ask everyone for a dollar donation when you get your bill! candler park is a lovely neighborhood with many artists and progressive, it is a very inclusionary neighborhood . can you say "do your market research and know your customers".
for those of you not from atlanta, this gop governor candidate has an advertisement where he is pointing a loaded gun at a teenager. he has another one where he is calling for vigilante ambushing and kidnapping mexican children and their families. the one that is most offensive is a #whitesupremacy dog whistle about "our kind of people".
https://youtu.be/ywtttnsnuyq
this place has been on the local news for cockroaches in the kitchen and storage areas (see video above).

they have made their choice, and will have to deal with the consequences when their candler park and midtown customers make theirs.

went here for breakfast in october after i had heard plenty of friends talk about it.  honestly not so sure what all the hype was about as there are better places to grab breakfast in charlotte. nothing here was of poor quality, but nothing was great.

i have eaten here a bunch of times. i have yet to find anything i actually have enjoyed. service has never been great. one time i was there and the roof was leaking on my table and they did not do anything for us. there are other better options for breakfast locally and i would search them out

i managed to swing by this, the original flying biscuit opened by delia when she left indigo, for a quick breakfast with some friends. as usual, the food and service has been maintained to a level of consistency surprising for a restaurant that's been part of this neighborhood for so long. the only thing that hasn't really changed is the terrible lack of parking is this part of town, but i guess there isn't much to be done about that. the food is still amazing, still served on colorful tablecloths and in fiestaware plates. you can't do much better than this for breakfast in atlanta.

only ok

i’ve been to the flying biscuit a couple of other times and have always found it just ok. nevertheless, i keep seeing it appear on “best breakfast in atlanta” lists. so i tried it again. still only ok.

the french toast suffered the indignity of so many atlanta restaurants—too soggy. fortunately, i asked for the accompanying vanilla cream to be put on the side. it was rather unpleasant and would have ruined the dish completely. the also accompanying raspberry sauce was, however, quite tart and delicious. i also got a side of applewood smoked bacon. usually this is thick and chewy and rich. here is was just everyday bacon, cooked to within an inch of its bacony goodness and to a point where it simply crumbled when touched by the fork. the coffee was just ok.

i think that this was my last visit to the flying biscuit.
